Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.

GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.

Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

If the government did not want anybody to talk about the exorbitant cost of the interchange, it should have come clean from the beginning; from the bidding process to the award of the contract.

If you have an open bidding process where three or more companies bid for a project, and the submitted tender documents opened in front of all representatives of the contractors that took part in the process, and you award the contract to one of the companies based on best technical specifications and reasonable lower cost, the amount you award the contract will be known to even the other contractors and it will not be difficult for the government to release it.

How can we award contract to a company and the work is ongoing without knowing exactly how much we've awarded it, and we're still talking about projected figures and the rest? I believe Nana is hitting the nail on the head. There is too much obscurity and lack of transparency in awarding the project, and we are afraid that Ghanaians may not be getting value for their money.

What is "Dutch Disease"?
A percentage of proceeds from oil, gold, diamonds, cocoa revenues etc should be deposited yearly in a Ghana Sovereign Wealth Fund account, a national 401k. This money will never be touched by any govt, period! This money will be invested all over the world in socially constructive projects. Projects to be excluded can include chemical nuclear projects, environmentally disastrous projects, product based exclusions, tobacco, walmart(human rights abuses). The ROI from this fund will be used to supplement infrastructure projects. Is Ghana a cursed, weak institution? Yes, I agree whole heartedly!

How to stop Corruption
1. Corruption Sensitivity Training: Educate the executives(attorney general, the judges, public officials, immigration, police officers)about the short, long term effects and impacts of corruption. Corruption Sensitivity Training should be a mandatory part of interview process, class, testing requirement for all ministers and public sector officials. Make them aware of the consequences and have them sign off on this. If judges, police officers, employees are educated and made to understand the explicit and implicit impacts of corruption and how it affects their own salaries, bonuses etc. Things will change!
2. Enforce the Law: Offenders must face jail time, tickets/fines, sell assets to payback what has been stolen, name and shame offenders in media
3. Put ethical persons in positions of power,
4. yearly revenue audits brief

He knows exactly what is going on in our dear country; guess what, if it fits, wear it and KU4 opted to respond to him aggressively. KU4 understands where Mugabe was coming from. The economy, six(6) years after his presidency is on a RESPIRATOR!
Today, a barrel of OIL is selling at $57.00, this means, it's costing Ghana in excess of $100.00 in production price, only to sell it at a wholesale for $57.00. Please, do the ARITHMETIC as the economy keeps dancing to the TINA-WELE melody.
The above shows one of the 'hitch-cups' in our economy but many more factors add to the inability to grow it. X'mas as we know it, calls for a celebration, but 70% or more of the citizens are hurting, all at the expence of KU4's mismanagement of the economy; we need to keep the belt-tightening a bit longer and hardly could we foresee what is there in the coming year, 2015! We need to keep our prayers much longer, for God is GOOD.

The services and manufacturing sectors have been increasing in Germany and the UK. In Ghana manufacturing is none existent, we buy fourth rate goods from China.

In those countries workers spend 30% of their salaries on food and accommodation. In Ghana an ordinary worker will be lucky if his/her salary (assuming it is paid at all) can buy lunch for three weeks.

Cooking the figures as we have been doing does no credit to anyone!

If not in decline then what else is? You can argue whichever way you want, insult people as hard as you can; economy and NUMBERS do not LIE. Ghana as a country does not exist. We now have clowns as president and finance minister who do not know what the heck they are doing. As far as I am concern, the country Ghana does not exist. We are forever a subordinate nation of IMF and their whims will be the command of the president. Where are the FOOLS like Kwasi Pratt, Alhaji Bature, JJ Rawlings, June Fourth and NDC social Democrats? NDC has allowed IMF to clean our payrolls, gather statistical data on the economy before they will determine how much loans we do qualify for. Why not allow the West to appoint a president and cabinet minster for us? Our lives will be better with the West appointing ministers, president and top civil servants to run the state of affairs. Where are all the anti capitalism folks in Ghana? I am a STAUNCH believer of CAPITALISM but not this second hand "obroni wawu" type. The lesson here to all Ghanaians is that state controls does not work. Open the country to private industries and things will be better. I work for a company that employs more than 500,000 workers all over the world but never heard of a ghost worker. How can someone claim another persons salary? This is bcos, d'ping countries have more room to develop while that of developed has already reached it's mark. Ghana has more room in terms of road and other infrastructure as compare to say uk that just do road maintenance . China is developing at a faster rate bcos it has room to. With time, China's growth rate will slow. So we can not compare Ghana growth to japan. You can also compare the standard of living in both countries using may be the per capital income. We need to manage our resources properly to be able to catch up with the developed world . Dr. Bawumia and other economic expects have all warned the gov't about Ghana's declining economy, yet for trying to defend itself about what's obvious to all, the NDC will counter any statement that points to clear facts.

And these are the reasons why they continue to fumble; everything that John Mahama will touch becomes a failure because he's not honest. They'll use every foul means, in any situation to achieve their evil desires.

Everything in Ghana is going wrong; people are crying for economic relief since they can't make ends meet, yet John Mahama would find time to lie to Ghanaians that everything is just fine. NDC are a bunch of liars and con people; they'll lie until thy kingdom come. They cannot be on the side of truth. So who do they want to deceive, by pretending that the economy is in good shape while it's not? It's so funny!

The problem with these growth figures is that, the economic growth in the country is not inclusive and if we are not carefully it will not be sustainable as well. If a few Ghanaians are having good living standards as a result of corruption and the majority of the people are drowning in poverty, then those GDP numbers are meaningless. What we are looking for is a country where every Tom, Dick and Harry's living standards have improved because they now have more wealth than when the NDC took charge. Standard of living of the citizens should be the benchmark and not those fake GDP figures.

I do agree that Ghana economy has declined since Mahama took office.If you look at the statistics that Mr Forson gave,it's clear that 2012 had a better growth rate than 2013 and 2014,something that the government must see to redress the trend.NPP left office after 8 years with only 5% of growth.The same Nana Addo is on record saying Mills is "Prof.do little" when infact Mills moved Ghana into the middle income status.It's unfortunate our politicians always display ignorance and dishonesty.There was a time when Bawumia of all people came out to say that statistics on the economy is false because it does not reflect the standard of the people.I want to ask Bawumia how will you govern a country if you don't believe in the national statistics?How can you oppose the ruling party if you don't believe in the national statistics?Finally,how are you going to convince the electorates to vote for you if you don't use statistics?Why did Nana Addo use the debt-to-ratio of just 29% to make a point if statistics is not important?This is a very good example of dishonesty.Mr Forson did well to make his point based on geopolitics.We should not be looking at only local situations but the global trend as well that's how national economy works,it's interdependent.We cannot compare Ghana of today to only Kuffour's regime if so then we should go back to Nkrumah's regime.We must move forward and always look into the future but not always the past like Nana Addo is saying.Kuffour has done his best and gone and we cannot develop Ghana based Kuffour's regime,this will be suicidal.Nana Addo will do himself a great deal help if he focuses on what he can do then hidding under the shadow of Kuffour.Thank you.

Obviously, Ato Forson sees the consistent year-on-year decline in growth with projected 2015 growth rate of less than 4%, as an excellent achievement.
Clearly, it brings to the fore, the very important characteristic of excellence, capability, ability, competence, and aptitude which translates into positive growth and shows the rather deep chasm and contrast between the NPP and the NDC party in terms of delivery, and getting the job done.
Whilst the NPP party was posting persistent positive growth and for added benefit, let me stress again, persistent positive growth based on excellent, prudent and intelligent management of the economy in the absence of oil revenue, the Mahama-led NDC gov't, sees consistent and persistent negative growth, emphasis on consistent and persistent negative growth as a mark of their excellence, in an oil economy. Seriously, is Ghana safe?
With such a gov't and such a thought process, one can safely say that, progress under such a Mahama NDC gov't, would be akin to witnessing "snow falling in hell", an unimaginable possibility.
The way forward is to massively and roundly send the Mahama NDC gov't packing at the ballot box in 2016.
