This so called takeover is harshly done; no due diligence was done, due process thrown out the window. This gov't is full of criminals and incompetent officials. This smack of corruption.

It is true, Kwesi Botchwey is undermining Seth and Buah. He holds so many positions in John Mahama's government. He the board chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, board Chairman of Ghana Gas, Chairman of the economic advisory council, chairman of IMF negotiating team and chairman of the Millenium Challenge Compact II negotiation team. He chairs all these and yet the economy is in a mess. He should Seth and Buah alone. He was finance minister for 18 years and yet Ghana is still in such a miserable state.

The current Minister of Finance would feel belittled in the eyes of Ghanaians and certainly of the international community and ostensibly without authority and credibility. What would Dr Kwesi Botchway have felt if in his day as Ghana's Finance Minister he had been sidelined in major negotiations with the IMF? What if Mr Terkper disowns the outcome of the negotiations and fails to implement the recommendations arising from them?

One would have thought President Mahama and the NDC leadership had political nous but they seem to be totally challenged in that department of governance.

Our new-found oil can provide these funds - with minimal outside fund added-on - if greater care is taken to manage it. So, the country can ill afford to bring politics and divisions into it.

In my opinion, the most useless finance minister ever in Ghana's short political history is Kwesi Botchwey. Kwesi Botchwey is another Ghanaian phd, who has no vision and mettle, and in fact hollow to say the least. Kwesi Botchwey was Finance Minister for 15 solid years, the longest Finance Minister since Independence and accomplished nothing for the country. Instead, he handed over our country to the IMF and the World Bank, as the country faced the harshest IMF and World Bank conditionality ever visited upon any nation on this mother earth.

During his time in office, Ghana's fiscal budget was prepared by IMF technocrats in New York and brought to the country. He virtually surrendered Ghana's sovereignty to these foreign imposters (IMF & World Bank) and these two organizations the harshest policies and squeezed to the point of strangulation to demonstrate to the world that their conditionalities work. In the end, our country, Ghana, became worse off in economic growth and development.

While it took Singapore a mere quarter of a century (25 years) to develop their marshy land into a first world country status, this scum of the earth, Kwesi Botchwey, wasted 15 years with the IMF and World Bank to the detriment of the ordinary Ghanaian.

It is interesting that today, Kwesi Botchwey has the balls to point a finger at another useless Finance Minister, Seth Tekper, accusing him of not doing things properly - the pot calling the kettle black. Ghana is indeed a very funny place, and to think that today, this useless Kwesi Botchwey is now the chair of Ghana Gas speaks volumes about about our country. The ignorant Rawlings in 1982, gave Kwesi Botchwey full control of Ghana's economy and for 15 solid years, this fool messed it up with nothing to show for it.

He calls the shots because the buck stops with him as the Finance Minister. Get over it and ride shotgun if you are required, otherwise please stand aside. You do not get to throw your weight about for any reason.
