Incumbent Chairman of the governing party Dr Kwabena Adjei has told starr news in an interview that he is being blamed by members of the National Democratic Congress, for the failures of the current Government.

“Everything the Government has done and has not done well from the energy crisis to lack of funds for GETfund scholarship to school feeding programme to poor road network to lack of potable water in certain places, all are government responsibilities, I’m not the person to be blamed, but when I go out they blame me, as if I was the minister of water resources works and housing, minister of roads, minister of energy, minister of this, they put it on me,” the two-time Chairman who is running for a third consecutive term told Ibrahim Alhassan.

The former Minister in the Rawlings Government, nonetheless conceded that the complaints of the party “mirror the general view” of Ghanaians in the country.

“…I take some of the blame because I’m the party chairman, and I can’t go out of my way to deny,” he said

Mr. Mahama is exactly one of the visionless African leaders that have always been accused of misplacing their priorities. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?

Governance under the NDC government is all about deceit and 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they loosen theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they asked us to wait for a paradise in three years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

Nigerians remind themselves daily of that event by calling a certain bag "Ghana must go" and they seem to enjoy the memory of it.

Do you have amnesia?? GBC do you have amnesia?? Remind your fellow Ghanaian.

It does not matter what the Progress Party did 10 years before their decision asking foreigners living in Ghana to obtain residency permits. The Progress Party's action was before ECOWAS was formed but Nigeria's action took place after the formation of ECOWAS.

How many staffers and NDC footsoldiers are at the Presidency causing the budget overruns?
What caused the budget overrun at the Office of the Chief of Staff and as such the Presidency? It should be interrogated because the Office of the Chief of Staff overspending it's budget by about almost 7x, shows clearly that, something is not right and a detailed scrutiny of the figures and numbers, should provide the template to rein in the overruns, because as rightly pointed out, it takes funds away from other critical gov't machinery leading to ineffectiveness in gov't function and output.
The lack of fiscal discipline which has been identified as one of the Mahama NDC gov't's weakest attributes from all indications, has it genesis from the Presidency, paving the way for an across the board plunge in fiscal prudence, which sadly has culminated in Ghana's search for a bailout from the Bretton Woods institutions.
