Bad leadership in Ghana was started by Nkrumah. In fact all our problems started with him. Nkrumah was a dictator and very ambitious. He introduced one party rule in Ghana and made himself life president. He was neither caring, compassionate, visionary, smart nor politically savvy. Most of the things he took credit for had been started by the British, our colonial masters. For instance Tema Motorway was on the drawing board when he took over and Akosombo Dam was not his brainchild. KNUST was established by Asantehene and the British. Surprisingly, most of the things he takes credit for were never initiated by him

Independence, for instance, was sought for by many and achieved under the aegis and cunningness of Kofi Nwiah, trickster and schemer extraordinaire. Well, all along I have been asking how and under what circumstances "Francis Kofi Nwiah" was able to change his name to "Kwame Nkrumah". I know that it is permissible for anybody to change his name anytime he or she wishes but it is strange and beyond comprehension for one to change his birthday from Friday to Saturday ie from Kofi to Kwame. This is what makes me suspicious of Kofi Nwiah or Kwame Nkrumah. He claimed that his date of birth was 21st September 1909. This day according to the 20th century Calendar was a Tuesday!!! So was Nkrumah born on a Tuesday, a Friday or a Saturday? We must find out what he was up to with all these very strange findings. He was indeed cunning and only preyed on the emotions of the Ghanaian masses. It was my wish that president Mills would set up a committee to investigate before declaring Nkrumah's "unknown" birthday a holiday.

When he took over we had trade surplus running into millions of Pound Sterling but when he was forced out we had a trade deficit of several million pounds sterling!! This was the result of bad governance. He should have been overthrown earlier than 1966. We all saw good governance under K4. To me K4 is the best president Ghana has ever had. Kuffour is the greatest. We thank Kotoka and Afrifa for stoping the dictator in his tracks. Ayekoo Kotoka and Afrifa. Kotoka AirPort should never be renamed.

Incumbent Chairman of the governing party Dr Kwabena Adjei has told starr news in an interview that he is being blamed by members of the National Democratic Congress, for the failures of the current Government.

“Everything the Government has done and has not done well from the energy crisis to lack of funds for GETfund scholarship to school feeding programme to poor road network to lack of potable water in certain places, all are government responsibilities, I’m not the person to be blamed, but when I go out they blame me, as if I was the minister of water resources works and housing, minister of roads, minister of energy, minister of this, they put it on me,” the two-time Chairman who is running for a third consecutive term told Ibrahim Alhassan.

The former Minister in the Rawlings Government, nonetheless conceded that the complaints of the party “mirror the general view” of Ghanaians in the country.

“…I take some of the blame because I’m the party chairman, and I can’t go out of my way to deny,” he said

Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

Nana Akufu Mugu Kapwepwe Addo, simply wants his name enshrined on the seat of our presidency so as history could justifiably grant him some recognition as well hence his vigorous fight at the expense of that corridor. The wannabe president is just going in for the namesake status and thence, leaving most of the job that usually comes with the presidential portfolio onto the shoulders of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia alone.

Therefore, given Mr. Mugu the ample space needed to play the ceremonial role of a president he so desperately wants before the citizenry. This, I strongly believed is their obvious story going forward, folks.

U don't have to be smart or even literate to provide free food, drinks for market women, free housing for everybody in Ghana, etc. your smartness comes to play when u find a way of making that money available thru smart means, which Nana Addo hasn't been able to tell us.

If you are a grandpa, your not being referred to as a grandpa will not make you a non-grandpa or even a younger man! Nor will any reference to you as grandpa make you any older than you are! Olu is olu, ain't nothing you can do about it!

Dr Kwabena Adjei extols what he believes are the virues of grandpa -- among others, experience, wisdom, intelligence, virtues that he thinks should stand a grandpa in a good stead for the presidency of a country! Okay, if grandpa is synonymous with these virtues, then, being referred to as grandpa shouldn't be bad -- or, at least, not so bad that a grandpa would hate to be referred to as grandpa!

As for Nana Akufo Addo, he's a grandpa! This is not an insult! Nor is it a pronoucement of criminality on him! Rather, it is statement of fact! However, his grandpa-hood is not the kind synonymous with wisdom! Not at all!!! No man bearing even a modicum of wisdom in his head will in a multi-ethnic and exceedingly volatile polity like Ghana mount a political campaign of ethnic mobilisation a` la yen-Akanfuo and political violence a` la all-die-be-die as instruments of winning elections! And it's only a fool who, after having carried out such a Hitleric campaign of ethnic-hate and use of violence, will not understand both the fact that he lost the elections and why he lost the elections! Obviously, his lot as a grandpa is not only being low on wisdom but also being deficient in rationality and good reasoning! He needs to understand -- in terms of rationality and good reasoning -- that he lost the elections because of the very Hitleric-devilish campaign of hate and violence he took to! No pink-sheet subterfuge or Bawumian half-baked statistics can salvage a victory from that damage he, Nana Addo, did to himself and his party! If grandpa-ness comes with wisdom, then, he may have impaired his over the years through the cloudy-high levitation that he's reported to have been undergoing matutinally! What is left of his supposed grandpa wisdom is NOT worth using for the presidency of a highly volatile, multi-ethnic polity like Ghana.

Now the question is do you think Tunisians do not have politicians who are not less than 60 years of age to complete for the presidency? Typical foolish Ghanaian will not look for people with wisdom but rather vote for a fool because he is tall, handsome, light-skin, 50 years, hails from their region and all nonsense attributes.

Presidency is not a marathon which one had to have athletic prowess to run. It needs visionary people who can use their God's gifted wisdom to articulate their visions. Like you said a 'chronically mismanaged country' do need a visionary leader, who do have the country at heart and can use his God's gifted wisdom to surround himslef with brainy individuals from all corners of the country, irrespective of their tribe, political inclination and physical dificiencies as far as the aged President will let them set achievable goals and also help the President to do what the electorates hired him to do to their benefit.
