It is clear he is being forced to abandon his plans to accommodate unscrupulous officials who want to go and continue their Christmas holiday in Spain. It will be interesting how many official will be joining the team. Grant must stand his ground and resist all attempts by corrupt GFA officials to dictate to him as they did to the previous coach. Otherwise he should not be surprised if he suffer the same fate as his predecessor.

I managed to forget that and I gathered courage to visit today to see what was new.
Amazingly, the CAN is around the corner and it is scheduled to be played in Equatorial Guinea. I remember about 20 years ago when I started learning the white-man's language --which i am still struggling to master because they don't pronounce well the letter "r" as it is pronounced in the Volta region--, my geography teacher showed us a map of Africa on which Equatorial Guinea is somewhere close to (if not on) the equator --hence the adjective Equatorial in the name of the Country-- and in central Africa.
When I read this posting on this website that the black starts are going to Spain for training for a tournament that will be played in Equatorial Guinea, I thought I was not seeing well and that I should visit an eye specialist. i quickly grabbed by coca-cola bottle glasses and put it on , and re-read the passage again. And it was true; I was reading what i was seeing: that the black starts are going to Spain to prepare for the tournament. I know Spain is somewhere north of Africa, in southern Europe. So Ghana is approximately in between Spain and Equatorial Guinea. An the whether in Spain in December/january is not anything near the whether in country where the tournament will be taking place. not only that, the pitch that will be served in equatorial Guinea will not be as the one black starts will be preparing on. This is another strong formula for another disaster. Why can't these player train in a country close to Equatorial Guinea to acclimate themselves with that whether? is that how students preparing for SSS exam are treated by giving then easy problems and then the real exam is 10 times harder? Is that how the Ghana police train before they enter the streets to protect us? is that how the military train before they defend the country for us? is that how the miserable teachers who spend their entire live to educate our kids, brothers and sister trained before standing in front of the class? is that how the doctors and nurses and midwifes who put their lives on the line working 24/7 to save lives in non-equipped hospitals are trained?
