The most difficult year in Ghana's enrgy history is in 2006 when Kufour sat down for the Akosombo to dry up and didn't have a back-up plan. At that time we could sleep in total darkness for 2 weeks continuous. But Ndoum didn't say what Starrfm is attributing to him in the heading so I think is starrfm making their own fake claims on the side. Ndoum said it was exceptionally difficult, not most difficult. If he had said that, he would have been insincere because that wasn't the case

He was with npp cpp and now PPP that shows he is selfish and only feels he is better than all he should have stayed with cpp and to reorganize from whiten than forming his own party. With this he loose trust from Ghanaians he is showing he has no guts for team play. When he is not leading then no one leads. God bless our homeland Ghana

Lest I forget, weren't this same Papa Kwesi Nduom at some point in our political history officiated under the eight abysmal years of John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor's administration by which they got the boot of their lives just eight years occupying the helm of affairs through the same Ghanaian populace they claimed to have served judiciously? I think Prof Akosa will also be a better leader for Ghana despite his personal transgressions and his 'blind worshiping ' of Nkrumah. Let's give such people a try.

Nduom just talks. He has no idea how politics works. He doesn't understand that to make an impact you should work with people and then find a way to command a majority voice and vision for a group. Yes, he is the sole leader of a party but his party has zero influence in the country. Nduom needs to find a way to translate all these good ideas into political action. It is democracy. He can't get changes to happen all by himself.

Gbewaa, you are absolutely right that Ghana has failure of leadership. However, your comparison of Ghana to UAE is ridiculous. How can you compare the 8th leader in oil production in the world to Ghana. Why will UAE go to for loans from anywhere when they produce more than 3% of the oil in the world? UAE has been producing and selling oil since the 1960s. Talking of bad leadership, I will add Rawlings and Mills. I will also defend Kuffour among all Ghanaian presidents we have had in my lifetime. He is the only person who tried to give Ghanaians real hope after the failures of Rawlings. He was the one who got rid of some of Ghana's debts. He was the one who tried to solve the energy problem in Ghana. He was the one who brought the oil in Ghana out of the ground. Remember, Rawlings was in power for 19 years and couldn't do anything comparable. JJ was only good in holding on to power, through harassment, brutality and tribal divide and conquer. Please, don't describe Kuffour as lazy. Rawlings, Mills and Mahama fit other bad adjectives in addition to lazy, not Kuffour because such comparison is laughable. Ghana has a huge deficit in infrastructure and therefore needs loans to catch up. The problem is how we manage the loans. Consider these numbers. Kuffour borrowed not more than $9B in 8 years while the Mills/Mahama government has borrowed over $27B in 6 years and counting, sending us right back to IMF. Also all the oil revenues have come to Mills/Mahama government. You need to differentiate when you access an issue so that you can see something positive to be hopeful for. You don't lump everything together in negativity like that.
