I am usually hard on these men who take advantage of the harsh economic problems in Ghana to molest these girls for money but for some reasons I don't feel like there was any rape here.

The young lady knew what the man's intention was when she followed him to the hotel room. She didn't go there to get her homework done from school. What is a 19 year old girl doing in hotel room?

If she was raped, are there any torn panties and other torn clothes? What about abrasions? Did she fight back and scratched the man?

Somebody rapes you and afterwards you sit down and have drink with him and watch movies?

KKD just didn't pay the right amount of money or didn't pay at all.

The next twist was that it was consensual BUT it was a teenager. I had images of a 14-16 year old. Again condemnations.

Then finally the girl is 19 but is about KKD's granddaughter's age. Somehow, it appears some people will not rest until they 'get KKD'.

I'm not holding brief for him. If ever he's found guilty of rape, so be it. And I hope he pays the price for that.

But the last time I checked KKD hasn't announced anywhere that he's an Ambassador For Morality. In fact, for those who know KKD, you know the ladies love him...and he loves them right back. Like the proverbial Osebo, if he's 'sitting his somewhere', and you throw yourself at him, he is unlikely to pass up the challenge.

If we should hear today that KKD is marrying a 19 year old, we'll all be oh-ing and ah-ing how romantic it is, who knows where to find love, love knows no age blah blah blah!

First, the man is 'accused' of rape. He's NOT guilty...yet.

Second, IF it is consensual as he says, he hasn't committed any crime. ( Offer, acceptance, consideration, legality, no vitiating circumstances)

i felt dirty afterwards as the person who raped me was a respectable family friend. I did nothing to invite this, I hate him with every breath but I cannot tell anybody what he did to me.

As a young married mother, who do you tell this to without the person thinking you invited this upon yourself.

Would my marriage survive if I come out? So you see, there are so many different faces of rape.

We need to support women who are brave enough to tell their story.

Was she lodging there with the accused person? Under what circumstances did she meet the accused? How was it possible for the 19 year old to lodge at the African regent Hotel by herself? Who are her parents or guardians? Were they with her at the African regent Hotel and were they also lodging there? Is she domiciled in the country or she was on a visit from another country, necessitating her lodging at the African regent Hotel?
From the story, it said they went to the accused quarters after having a few "drinks". What is the legal age for drinking in the country? Was she forced to drink by the accused? If not who and how did she get the "drinks"?
Did she voluntarily go to the accused quarters or that decision was made after the "drinks" bearing in mind that, we are talking of a teenager here.
The accused clearly has a lot to answer whether it was consensual or otherwise, and with other complainants coming in about the accused's propensity for raping, and teenagers at that, Ghana could have a serial rapist on it's hands.
