  The politicians themselves are the products of the corrupt institutions where they graduated from to become politicians. They, therefore, think that government money is an elephant meat; it will never finish and nobody will ever asked them to account for the millions they steal.
  
  99% of our politicians are not self-made men, and they enter politics only to make more money fraudulently to satisfy their lusts at the expense of the struggling people. The crime Vicky Hammond committed was that she confirmed what the public had already known as an open secret, and that was the unpardonable crime she committed against her political masters.

  By Ghanaian tradition we always overspend & misappropriate funds in whatever we do even at the domestic levels.We over spend during funeral,wedding & naming ceremonies,no wonder we extend it to the national levels.

  Theft is theft and should be dealt with simply as a criminal matter for the law enforcement authorities. These cumbersome bureaucratic procedures for embezzlement of public funds allows these thieves to get away with their crimes. The answer is not the creation of new structures which only increases the numbers on the 'gravy train'

  That's the more reason why Ghanaians should stop behaving like ostriches. The political, ethnic and parochial prism from which every national issue is viewed should stop. Whether NDC or NPP, they are all the same.

  Why not emulate the Chinese example of be corrupt or embezzle public funds and get executed. The public good is what Ghanaians must always uphold and nothing more than that.

  The impunity to steal state funds is there and will continue to exist until those found to have stolen state monies are severely punished.How can an accountant in a state institution own cars,houses,businesses and nobody questions him about the source of his income.How can s bursar in a secondary school use an expensive car ,own a mansion and nobody questions him about how he got them? I have seen instances of civil servants having lunches which cost more than their daily wages.How do they afford them? Through corruption!!!
