  i think it will be better to form an association in the name of mother GHANA only period. In TORONTO CANADA where iam trying to get a life; we have "asafo,bantama, amansie ,takyiman,ga adangbe ,akuapeman basare, frafra,brong ahafo etc.please lets unite as GHANANIANS and stop the insanity.the same goes to numerous churches mushrooming in our community.LET us have time with our YOUTH.The funeral celebrations, outdoorings,60 year birthdays would not help.these associations most of them are formed without any purpose.to me i prefer one asanteman kuo,one akuapeman kuo, brong ahafo kuo.together we can build a better ghana.

THE CHAIRMANSHIP ROTATES THROUGH DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS. THIS HAS, SO FAR, WORKED FINE. IT MAKES FOR EASIER COMMUNICATION WITH THE EMBASSY AND WITH THE VARIOUS ETHNIC ASSOCIATIONS THEMSELVES BECAUSE THE COGA HAS ONE VOICE AND ONE EAR WHOSE INFORMATION IS DISTRIBUTABLE TO ALL THE COMPONENT ASSOCIATIONS THROUGH THE THREE HONORABLE REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH ASSOCIATION. A STREAK FROM THE DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: E PLURIBUS UNUM - UNITY IN DIVERSITY!

  Why then would you want one ansanteman kuo, one okuapeman kuo etc. and not just one Ghana Kuo? And how does people celebrating their important anniversaries adversely affect any one? Don't those living in Ghana celebrate anniversaries? And who said we have any obligation to live as one Ghanaian group in the diaspora anyway? We are living here now and we need to live our lives to the fullest. We don't have to postpone living until we get to Ghana. Whether we like it or not most of us are never going to be part of Ghana again and the earlier we realize that the better!
