Ivor Greenstreet said directly to President John Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that: “You don’t care”.

“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”

“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”

“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”

“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”

The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”

However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

My advise os a very simple one. If the Price of oil has fallen, this must be real to the consuming public. I will understand if there had been government subsidy on the fuel when the price was high, then the government may want to recoup the subsidy she had granted the consuming public. My understanding is that anytime the world price of crude oil goes up, the price at the pump goes up as well. So if the world price falls, the price at the pump must also fall. The government will be making itself unpopular by not reducing the price of fuel at the pump.

We normally use prices that will benefit both parties. In the oil & gas as well as gold and cocoa industry, prices are negotiated like the way a big restaurant negotiates in buying let's say tomatoes. If the restaurant wants a month's supply, the prices are reduced. That is how crude oil deals are done! If crude oil sells for usd 150.00 a barrel, our government can negotiate around usd 80.00. The oil company can settle for usd 90.00.

The government officials will sell it to Ghanaians at usd 150.00 and pocket the difference! Both NDC and NPP have been in this game for ages. I don't know what is going on at TOR. Are they still refining? So you see, now that the stock prices have fallen, they are finding it difficult to tell us the truth that they were not falling on stock prices all this while. As we all know, both members of the NDC and NPP are importing finished petroleum products. So where does the stock price of a barrel of crude comes in. Simply put, if they had told us the truth, nobody would have asked them to reduce prices at the pump. Akomea is a hypocrite. God punish them!!!

Making a living in another country when you are not a diplomat means conditions in your own country cannot help you meet your aspirations; so it is not the best of action to take, except when your own is rotten. Don't be proud you live outside Ghana, be sad you can't make it there. I feel sad I cannot live comfortably in Ghana like most Americans live comfortably in their own country. They will not go and settle anywhere else even if you pay them to. They worked hard for it to be like this, that today you and I find it attractive to come and settle here to make a living. If they encouraged bribery, mismanagement, misappropriation and 'Y3ntie Obiaa' attitude, they will not be able to build this great nation called America, that you and I are enjoying. Crude oil prices on the world market are still on a downward trajectory, with prices dipping into the $40's, the lowest price for crude oil on the world market in about 6years and counting.
Crude oil prices on the world market clearly have dropped by over 55%, and it is such travesty that the APAF, which should have kicked in to ensure that fuel prices were reduced commensurately, has been thrown out of the window, with the pricing of fuel now manually gear-levered right from Cabinet in total disregard for the mandate of the NPA in ensuring equity in fuel pricing in the country.
One then begins to ask what is the essence of the NPA? Of what relevance is the NPA in determining the prices of fuel in the country based on the movement of crude oil prices on the world market if the NPA cannot deliver on it's mandate as a function of the upward or downward movement of crude to reflect realistic market trends? With the NPA having failed to deliver the right pricing for fuel products vis-à-vis world crude oil prices in percentage terms, can the case be made for the continued existence of the NPA?
The projection is that crude oil prices on the world market is going to fall further, and with a percentage drop of over 55% and still trending lower to levels comparable to almost 6years ago, the time to reduce fuel prices in Ghana is long overdue. The NPA needs to reduce fuel prices by over 40% to reflect current market trends and anything short of that, is very much unacceptable. The principles underlying the APAF need to work in a honest, credible and principled manner to garner the needed confidence in our institutions of state, and not in a whimsical and capricious manner, all geared towards officially sanctioned graft. That is recklessness of policy direction with unbearable consequences not only for the economy but also for the wellbeing of the masses. The time to reduce fuel prices by over 40% is now!!!.

It is senseless to talk about demonstrating because
world market prices are falling.
The most sensible question to ask is this: HAVE WE
BEEN BUYING OIL ON THE SPOT MARKET??? OR
HAVE WE HEDGED OUR OIL PURCHASES???
If prices are falling now, there is not much we can do
now as we may have purchased our oil in the futures
market.
This crap should know BETTER rather than seeking to
score cheap political point. We are sick and tired of this
cheap thinking.
