Allowing the Prez to run unopposed is against the spirit with which the constitution was framed. The manner in which politicians come by money to run for President is sometimes disturbing; but even if this is the motive for this call then I am sure the President's hands might be already tied.

ANY POLITICAL PARTY THAT WILL SEND ITS FOLLOWERS ABROAD AS A REWARD FOR VOTING FOR THEM, IS NOT A GOOD POLITICAL PARTY. They have no love for their country and no solution to any problem they face. They don't intend making life better for you, they want you to try your luck outside your country, where God placed you. THEY ARE IN FOR THEIR SELFISH EARNS.
You think you are blessed by being sent outside, but remember where you are going was made well by people just like you and I; the difference? They love their country and so they shed off SELFISHNESS, BRIBERY, CORRUPTION, MISMANAGEMENT AND MISAPROPRIETION to make it better. IT IS NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT LIVING ABROAD, YOU HAVE ONLY SUCCEEDED IN RUNNING AWAY FROM THE TROUBLES OF YOUR OWN COUNTRY. That is what you are celebrating anything you thank God you are not living in Ghana.

If a political party starts sharing gifts at election time, it is a bad political party. No matter what they may chose to call it, it is bribery, and when you fall for it and vote for them, you have voted for a bad party that will not help you, but themselves. Remember, you have had your share already, which is the bribe, and have to wait for another four years for another gift.
Such a party will not respect you, because you sold your conscience to them.(exchange your vote for a gift)

Finally, if they don't create the condition for jobs to be created either by them or the private sector, and you remained unemployed but encouraged to visit their offices for tips, they are taking your dignity away from you. Don't let any political party turn you into a beggar. There is no dignity in calling you 'macho man' because you are being used to do the dirty work of a political party.

As one who believes in democratic institutions, rule of law, strength of institutions, checks and balances etc, etc, i hardly and do not really accord much weight to military misadventure because, it most often than not, serves the interests of some misguided and reprobate personalities whose actions do not emanate from the principles of universal adult suffrage and thus, the will, aspirations and power of the citizenry. Their actions are treasonous.
