Allowing the Prez to run unopposed is against the spirit with which the constitution was framed. The manner in which politicians come by money to run for President is sometimes disturbing; but even if this is the motive for this call then I am sure the President's hands might be already tied.

I was in court during the sentencing proceedings and carefully listened to the Judge.
In fact I personally attended court because of people like Godwin who take delight in twisting facts.
The judge said the top end of the sentence of the finess of the cocaine with that weight was 13 years.
In view of the guilty plea taken by the lady, her sentence was being reduced to 8years and 8 months (after consulting some documents in front of him.)
In fact what the judge did was to reduce the 13 years by one-third. She was then left with two-thirds of 13 years which is 8 years 8 months i.e.2/3 x 13 years is 8.666 years. .66666 of a year is 8 months. that is how the judge arrived at 8 years 8 months. The judge then continued by saying that Ms Nayele could be due for early release after serving half of the sentence that is 4 years 4 months.

What should be the minimum requirement when recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??

Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.

GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.

Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults. Some students may be married and some may be business executives.

In the second place, you seem to be just guessing what actually takes place on university campuses. University authorities will discipline any student who contravenes any of its rules and regulations after a disciplinary committee has sat on the matter and given hearing to all including witnesses and studied evidence if any. Now if the act is also a breach of national laws, e.g. criminal act, it is the police who deals with that.
Now you are also saying lecturers punish students by asking them to kneel down and giving students lashes. Ebei, which university? KNUST? Please don't tell lies! For your information, universities are not under GES. Please do find out facts.

So after all the troubles she had gone thru in order to make big money quickly, she now does not stand the chance of going to enjoy all the material things (including multiple houses in all parts of Ghana) she acquired thru drug trafficking.

This must serve as a lesson for others who want to copy her actions and her way of life. By peddling drugs, she has become part of the ring who are destroying so many lives by distributing these hard drugs. It is a shame.

I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my Cocoa garden for the eight years you are in prison . I am getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the garden for me.

A few days later he received a letter from his daughter .

At 4 am the next morning, BNI and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.
The same day the old man received another letter from his daughter.
Dear Papa, Go ahead and plant the Cocoa now and it will start to produce in eight years.. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.

Britain should decrimilize all forms of drugs and let those who want to coke out their brains do it. It would only take 10 years and the demand and use of all forms of drugs levels off. The world is too full of deadly ideologies which must be allowed to be experimented. We have all misplaced our human values. The value of caring about people who through their own fault have failed . Whatever they did to put them in those situations they should dig themselves out of it. Extreme liberal policies is failing the world in very big and serious ways.

I will court her while she is in prison. In fact next August I will go to England purposely to meet her. Meanwhile, I will send her money for stamps. I love her and would do all I can to marry her. She is a great lady.
