In contrast, soon after Ghana attained independence in 1957, Osagyefo, Kantamanto, Ahuabobrim, Dr. Nkrumah assured that the British bequeathed us a huge fortune of some "197 million pounds sterling" and that if we shared that money amongst the 7 million population, even every child in the womb would get a cool one million pounds. We have come a long way to self-destruct, baby! At least we could give Kwame some credit for Tema modern township and the motorway. The Akosombo dam was built with a $60 million loan from USA,courtesy of President JFK.

I will be happier if each Ghanaians owes a paltry Ghc 3000 for the massive projects JDM has used our money for. Please Mr. President borrow more for the rapid development you intend for our transformation. After all NPP borrowed 700 million on Eurobond and share among themselves.

Mahama really understands the world's economy very well. If you don't have the money, borrow, borrow and borrow again for well-targeted capital projects. Water, energy, education, health, roads, transport, science and technology.That's what Brazil did.For now a lot of people will see these as debts but when all of them take shape, we will see agriculture and industry flourish easily and our nation prospers bountifully.By the time Prez Mahama leaves office a lot of key productive projects would be in place albeit with loans, but Ghana will not 'die'. We can only become better. He is indeed a very smart president.
