  My brother, if even Woyome would be imprisoned, it would not be more than three years because that is a white colour crime. So it means that people should get highly educated, or get connected with the big guys of society and rob the State millions of Ghana Cedis and yet go free or even receive lighter prison sentences. It is so ridiculous that the laws in Ghana are meant for the poor people who may be stealing just to eat. However, those stealing from the State even from their abundance are left to go off the hook. This is the unjust world we are all living in. So what it means is that one should get highly educated, get a nice job, be highly connected in society, and then can go on a looting spree and look big in society even though he or she knows that the wealth s/he has is not gotten through the rightful means. Yet nothing may happen to such a corrupt guy. I wish these unlucky poor thieves all the best in their prison life. It is unfortunate they have been found in such a legal system where the same laws are applied differently to people caught in the same crime of stealing. I just need to be educated. Are the laws in Ghana more lenient towards the corrupt elite and harsher on poor goat, plantain, and maize, etc. thieves? If it is so, then how good it is to be corrupt since the law would deal leniently with you.

  Too harsh sentences. Afterall they are not armed robbers. Looks like the judges are just passing sentences without any regard to rules
