John is himself the number one thief, so how can he discipline thieves. He has to steal to look after his 23 or so children. Therefore all hands on deck. All appointees must must take whatever they can grab. This man is simply unfit to be president.

Ghana will definitely be better off without John Mahama. The monies being given to our very stupid chiefs is stolen money. it is monies that should go to repair our roads.

“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

Ghost names and double salary are all common in Ghana. However, I am of the view that, had Mr Cudjoe not chanced on this audit report the public will never be aware of it, would have been shelved and no corrective action taken. Now the public are aware by his exposure so please give him some credit.

There are many former Teachers and former Civil Servants who are currently residing and working here in the USA for years, who openly confess that, thanks to their respective District Accountants, with the conivance of some staff of the Accountant General's Dept, they have remained on the payroll for the past 10, 12, 13 years, for which their respective district Accounts staff and those at the Accountant General's Deptt. enjoy the chunk of it and pay the rest into their respective accounts. It is a truism, that if the proper auditing of the payroll accounts is thoroughly conducted to flush out all such names, Ghana could be building more than ten six-classroom blocks every month, with the monies that could easily be retrieved from such shoddy deals. In any case, what is preventing the introduction of a payroll system that would be linked to clocking in and out system as pertaining here? The irony is that almost all and sundry, are in one way or the other is involved in the corruption in one form or the other! May the Good Lord touch the hearts of every citizen to make a resolve to fight this menace - 'corruption'!

It would not be surprising this well orchestrated and well planned scheme from just those 4 enumerated bullet points alone, could account for about 35-40% of the purported 70% increase in the wage bill.
Now, with such a scheme put in place by this NDC gov't can only imagine the obscene level of nation-wrecking plunder the country has become subjected to under this Mahama NDC gov't.
The answer to this level of looting, was a political gimmick by John Mahama asking the CAGD to deduct 10% of their backdated and increased salary and emoluments for a purported and so-called construction of CHPS compounds in the country.
With such a gov't, where is the country headed if not Sahara-like existence.
Looting and thievery by the Mahama NDC gov't has evidentially, become highly ubiquitous, and Ghana is a goner for it.
It is mercilessly imperative that this nation-wrecking Mahama NDC gov't is massively, massively voted out in 2016.

My brother had resigned and left the country to UK but information indicate that, the Government is still paying him every month for almost 4 year now. Their bases is that he was not duly discharge. But he wrote his resignation and submitted it so what is the problem of the police administration to still pay him. The IGP, Police Accountant General are aware of this ghost name. The should probe them as soon as possible. I ready to submit my brother information to Imani with his resignation letter so that the investigation will start with my brother name.

I reported one gentleman who was a teacher but managed to attend Maritime University and collected his pay for 3 years! He was sharing the money with his headmaster in a village school. How can Controller or President Mahama know this? All Ghanaians who come accross such cases must report to security ... that is when you can call yourself a true Ghanaian and not AN OCCUPIER!
