He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

All you have to do is to go to the internet, if the oil companies and GNPC won't give you those figures, to look for the price of crude oil from month to month, multiply by the production figures and either confront the government with those figures or else them available for the people of Ghana to judge for themselves.

I will suggest to Your party NPP to make amendments to the constitution. Effective all Government Contracts awarded by by whatever Government in power.It wiil be the sole Responsibility of the Opposition party to see its implementation/monitoring of the contract and make sure we get value for money. The work of the opposition is to hired a company that can do that for the Ghana.

Let me remind you how your NPP party fooled Ghanians when they decided to change the Vehicle driving License the whole Nation. The member of Parliament for Bekwai was the DVLA Boss. Go back and check what he said and document presented to parliament and see if Ghanaian got value for their money.

What did your Government NPP told Ghanians when they were changing the traffic Lights in Accra and what do we have now?

How much does Government pay for street light pulps? 200 times than what you can get on the market.

During your time Ghana Police was collecting bribe (MTTU) they are still doing it. To get your birth certificate you need to pay bribe. To renew passport or and other License in Ghana you need to pay bribe.

You did not stop corruption then. You can't stop it now. You have not made any commitment by saying you are going to overhaul all government machinery to make sure corruption is eradicated.

Put your solution to Ghanians every where lets contribute our quota, punch holes in your policies.

Otherwise to me is business as usual . the corruption continues unabated and stealing by politicians continues no matter the party in power.

But it is the structures and institutions of state are what should holds government responsible and the opposition's role in parliament. Anything short of this makes all that Kwabena Agyepong said is just propanganda.
