If the government doesn't want anybody to talk about the exorbitant cost of the interchange, it should have come clean from the beginning; from the bidding process to the award of the contract.

If you have an open bidding process in which three or more companies bid for a project, and the submitted tender documents opened in front of all representatives of the contractors that took part in the process, and you award the contract to one of the companies based on best technical specifications and reasonable lower cost, the amount you award the contract will be known to even the other contractors and it will not be difficult for the government to release it.

How can we award contract to a company and the work is ongoing without knowing exactly how much we've awarded it, and we're still talking about projected figures and so on? I believe Nana is hitting the nail on the head. There is too much obscurity and lack of transparency in awarding the project, and we're afraid that Ghanaians may not be getting value for their money.

They remind me of the "Occupy Honk Kong Group" who were aptly described by a commentator that they are "full of energy and enthusiasm" but are chaotic, lack coordination and their actions counter-productive".

I recall that those who chose to "occupy Wall Street", Washington and London" with their tents were eventually cleared by law enforcement because they became a nuisance and were disrupting normal business and the very economy they claimed to be fighting for.

By the way the economic costs to Honk Kong of the recent 'occupation' run in hundreds of millions of US dollars!!! Can Ghana really afford such irresponsible behaviour?

Casely Hayford, Franklin Cudjoe and Ankomah will ultimately realize that their ambitions and objectives do not serve the national interest....think tanks are supposed to labor in the background...providing advice to politicians and legislators....on how best to govern society. However, these guys are doing everything wrong........they should across the Atlantic and see how western think tanks operate...they are effective and influential however without the publicity and arrogance......

However, it can be emphatically said that Franklin Cudjoe clearly stands out as one of those members by way of his blatant lies and academic dishonesty that he designs to galvanize support for the the NPP. He hopes that his big-mouth and self-aggrandizement will be able to help him to comfortably lie in bed with the NPP for future government appointment should the NPP come to power. All pre and post independence administrations are guilty of ghost names on government vouchers.
