You have completely missed the point I am trying to make. The ambassador should send a representative to the kind of functions organized by tribal associations. It is productive to attend a function by the US Chamber of Commerce, for example, than a function by a Ghanaian tribal association. The ambassador's primary role as Ghana's representative is to build and maintain relationships with the host country.

The American or the foreigner who comes to Ghana thinks of his profits first and foremost. The difference is that the Ghanaian keeps his profits in Ghana while the foreigner repatriates his profits.
