Ashawos in Kumasi have all kinds of tribes involved like almost everywhere in Ghana including Asantes, Fantes, Ewes, Gas, etc but the fact is that, a long time ago, most of the Adum Ashawos were Krobos who lived there. That does not mean there were no Asantes, there were a lot others including Fantes who lived nearby Fante New town.

If you go to Plaza Hotel at Dichemso at night, you will see a lot of Northerners who resides nearby Moshie Zongo prostituing infront of that hotel.
