Emile Short commissioned the renovation and left the Commission at least, a year before your appointment. You ordered for the modifications and extension and that is what caused the delay and high cost of the renovation. Can you blame him for that? Stop this infantile argument and take responsibility for your actions, indiscretions, greed and incompetence that landed into into this public anger. Did Emile Short also order and approve your expensive accommodation at the AU village? You were living with your mother then as soon as you were appointed CHRAJ Commissioner, you must be rehoused in luxury accommodation at the expense of the state because it is paid for the taxpayer.

You are out of touch and appear arrogant and bereft of leadership skills. True leaders take responsibility but not blame others when they have left the organisation. Your victimhood mentality will not work because the Ghanaian public are fed up with public officials cheating the system to live opulent lifestyle they could not afford in private life.

Assuming your predecessor did put up such plans for comfortability as you alleged, what stops you from suspending such plans at the time you yourself had made public statement of lack of financial source for you to perform your work?

You will not like the people and get disappointed because they did not kept silence over your show off with state money which is the people's money.

May be you do not know how NDC came to be a political power. The founder of your party came to power to kill people like you including even those who did signed for official bank loans.

It's very unfortunate people seem to have been brain-washed by the initial story that broke out with respect to Ms. Lamptey's rent saga. Most people seem to have already given a judgement on the case base on the story as it initially broke out. What people forget though is that Ms. Lamptey is only the head and not the commission. Could we for example have envisaged what we might have said if she had not accepted the AU village/ hotel accommodation which was given to her and decided to live in a two bedroom house at Nataheko in Accra and was subsequently attacked by armed robbers and murdered. We are now having the opportunity to listen to her side of the story for the first and if what she is saying is anything to go by, i'm beginning to now comprehend why the former CHRAG boss Emile Short kept moving from one radio station to the other smearing Ms. Lamptey. I think what we should all do at the moment is for us to wait patiently and see what verdict the commission inaugurated by her Ladyship the Chief Justice would come out with.

I would think a high level official will need some level of decent enough hotel with running water, electricity, security, Internet service, etc. Believe these are luxury items in ghana. $4100 monthly hotel bill will run roughly $130 a day without fees and taxes. N if it came with food then that's even better. Let's not pretend this is soo excessive. This is just smoke n mirrors by the prez n everyone using her as an example. How much was really paid to the "officials" n the so called celebrities for accompanying the BS in brazil? How much did the prez take from state coffers to buy cars for the Chiefs n local leaders to get them to campaign for him in their respective villages? Please people settle down.
