I love my country and I personally have noticed that Mahama has no respect for ghanaians at all..regardless of their individual political affiliation, Mahama being the president of the nation of Ghana has a responsibility to listen to every ghanaian and find a solution to alieviate their pain. Mahama and the ashnti king have forgotten that Ghana belong to Ghanaians not NPP or Ndc. The Ashanti king supporting Mahama shows weakness and I urge all his Chiefs to continues disregarding him till he stands up and speak up against any currupt gov regardless of the party.

He should be thankful for the media for alerting him about what people think about him. I have even heard people 10,000 miles away from Ghana talking about his assassination. Kwaku Dua should also thank Pastor Owusu Bempah for revealing to him that people are praying for his death. I believe all these would make him think and be careful of what direction he is heading to.

Our kings must hold up to behave and must adabt to the invisibility often the public contact. Our believe, strength and mighty resort to the king which is his allegiance also, to represent us. The "yentie obiaa" lyrics was in "twi" as he dances with the song and sang it at the same time but what was he thinking? Who wouldn't he listen to? Why even the king must partner with the lawless Mahama considering the public perception of the borrowing plane case, the court bribing case and so on? This "atopa hene" has shown hate to Okyeman and today you have political and tribal aggravation within the same Akan people. The integrety is tarnished with his oath and allegiance thetherfore the "OMAN" or "ASANTEMAN" cant be "OMAN", Kwaku Atopa Hene Dua must go!!!

This Asantehene is going nowhere and to those who hate they better rethink and to those who pray for his demise they may even go before him.This man has continued to bring some common sense modernisation to chieftaincy.What he is doing is to tell the whole world that as a chief he has to go nonaligned with any sitting President it does not matter which party that president belongs and which region he is coming from because at the end of the day we are all Ghanaians so I love that.It is all about Ghana not tribe or individual so please go beyond reading several mischiefs into this saga.Then also about Daddy Lumber's song yentie obiaa just don't read what is in your own head into it.I don't think Lumber came up with those Lyrics with any bad motives but just to make folks happy and this chiefs knows the health benefits of dancing and music especially when you get fully involved by singing along while dancing.Our chiefs have to start to go the gym instead of sitting on the stool 24 hours a day that is a big peril to the heart.Just look at the history of how past Asantehenes died they all became too fat and obese sending them all to their graves.This one now through research understands better.So praise but not chastise.He can dance with Akuffo Addo,Mahama,Kuffuor,JJ etc.that is great it brings unity.So Nana just continue to be yourself and let the tatlkers talk from what and how they think.Thanks.

Remember you are not a true Royal who knows the secrets and history of the Akan. Okomfo Anokye was a Guan but came to unify the Asantefour and that is why there is a proverb in Asante which is literally translated as It take a stranger to build a city. Royals don't build cities. As a matter of fact certain royas are leeches to their people and to their thrones. They are least productive people of their communities. People of talk about Nana Osei Kyeretwie, he gave land for KNUST to be built, land for Okomfo Anokye Hospital, Land for Prempeh College and many more great Institutions of learning. He did not get in the path of Nkrumah but played an active role in transforming Ghana.
He was neutral in politics.

Things have changed, when Kuffuor was the President wasn't sometimes delegated certain duties to the displeasure of other cultures? Did other people say he was NPP. Now NDC is in power and he being a great and wise leader would have to accord the President of the Republic of Ghana great respect in order to get greater respect. We live in a world of give and take.

I want to assure you that we people of the Republic of Ghana will unanimously stand behind our chiefs and Kings. Those Ashanti Kings who think they are not ready to get out of their palaces and see things for themselves and define what they want should all step down. Otumfour has the power force a lot of them down if He chooses to. In modern times the chiefs are his counsel of elders. If nana has gone a little bit wild, they are supposed to bring him to order and not just sit unconcerned and apathetic.

One thing I love about Otumfour is his educational initiatives.This was a bold initiatives.
Some Ashantis are behaving like my friends the Jews who think Palestine should never be a state and they should never sit down to dine with an Arab because that is what the Torah says knowing deep in their hearts that it was the Arabs who save their Torah. I can promise you with the advent of things in Europe, the state of Palestine will be a reality

I am Akan but not an Asante, and I love Asantes with all my heart,not only because I lived in Kumasi for a long time but also because I truthfully believe in my heart that Asantes are the least tribalistic tribe in Ghana and they serve as the centre that holds all of us Ghanaians together irrespective of where one hails from.
I am therefore very saddened to hear all these condemnation and scorn being poured on the Asantehene for no crime committed other than having a dance with the president of the country to a music composed by an Akan musician? Many Asantes may have a genuine grievance or dislike for the Mahamas, and I understand that but should this be translated into such hatred and apathy for their own King? Those of us non asantes who have higher regards for the Asantehene are shocked and scratching our heads for answers.
When it comes to football I understand the Asantehene is the custodian of Asante Kotoko football team and I will understand if his subjects get mad with him if he tries to undermine the team, but nowhere have I read that the Asantehene is the custodian of the NPP political party. Its good for chiefs to be neutral in politics but for heavens sake this king has not gone on a political campaign for the NDC. He only had a dance with the president of the land.
I am not in Ghana and I don't support any of the political parties over there but from what I am seeing the NPP would be the eventual losers. Why? A time will come and probably its here already, where every non Asante will feel unwelcomed in the NPP. Trust me if the Asantehene can be insulted just for dancing with the president who happens to be a northerner then all the minority tribes in Ghana will advise themselves and make sure the NPP never comes to power. The leaders of NPP ought to think seriously about what I have just said,for that is the danger they have to confront.

If he is to remain neutral in politics, I have not read that he has declared support for Mahama. If he has done something that the other Chiefs know about, I believe they have means to resolve them. His people can use this platform to state their grievances and lets see what he will do about it. Insults? No. Some people post comments to draw public dissatisfaction against people and parties so I generally disregard them.

Remember many Ashantis don't like the NDC, that's why the King should remain neutral in politics even if he supports that party. He as an Ashanti King should have known better and choose another song to dance to. This is another reason why chieftancy does not mix with politics. We Ashantis like the King himself understand what is meant by the word "Akutia" and we take it very seriously unlike you Ga people, Ewes and the Northerners who are defending him on this issue.

Being a King over Ashantis doesn't mean you can always be arogant and full around. Mind you, you can loose that previlage and the brave men did before. Don't forget Osei Tutu.
1.First of all,who is to blame when you use your protocols to create visa connections for the sake of money?
2.Can you Strongly account for the five million Dollars the world Bank gave you when you started the education found?

The "King's lambs" did not bleat but their loud silence is being misconstrued as disloyalty to the stool . According to the King, the Chiefs of the Asante Nation should have been up in arms against his detractors and defend him against their numerous accusations. Their antipathy, however, stems from the knowledge that defending the indefensible is not their forte. King Kwaku Duah, instead of crying out loud and stoking the smouldering fire of the chiefs disenchantment, should have ventured a resolution behind closed doors. Once again he's proven to his critics that he is not kingly enough and his occupancy of the Golden Stool is an aberration. In my lifetime, I've known Asante Kings from Prempeh 2 to date and many Ghanaians from every tribe have stood in awe of each one of them except the present occupant of the great Golden Stool. The chiefs would chastise him secretly if they could for the churlishness and indiscretions that unfortunately, have characterized his reign as King.
Now what? The King has painted himself into a corner and I have no idea where he intends to proceed from here. But is it any wonder that the Asantehene is buddy-buddying the President? Both, judging by their stewardships so far, are destined to go down in history, respectfully, as the worst Asantehene and the worst President since independence.

The British Army (supported by African Colonial Forces,other Ghanaian tribes & Volunteers (Asante political exiles), marched into Kumasi & arrested Asantehene Prempeh, Chiefs & members of the Royal Family in 1896. The Asante National Army & Chiefs were instructed by the Asantehene not to resist the invasion because of what happened in 1874 when Kumasi was set ablaze & the royal palace was looted of Gold Objects and burned down.
However, the British Army repeated the same actions in 1896.

Nana how can u expect your people and Chiefs to respect u when as mighty head of the whole Ashanti Kingdom dance Azonto in public, raising up your hands in happiness like a drug addict, involving yourself in dirty politics stretching out your hands which is supposed to be holy and fully dedicated to the Golden Stool to command power for the Ashanti Kingdom but rather u have chosen to side with the criminals in the society. Nana sit down on your bed and try to unwind your mind on the bribes you as a mighty king involved yourself in during the Supreme Court case between the NPP and the NDC which came out clearly that you were the link between the judges and the judgement and judges sitting on the case. That was a shameful behaviour which gradually takes away your respect. U always come out like a hungry lion with sharp lips to defend yourself but Nana that will not help u because the allegation had already entered into the minds of the people. Nana u have the habit of going for young women whether married or not and buying posh cars and building houses for them but the money u choose splash out on all these useless high life does not come from your own pocket but these are the monies meant for the development of the Ashanti Kingdom. Nana don't u bow your head in a big shame at the dilapidated state of your own capital, Kumasi. The Asantehene should know that at such a time when most of his obedient subjects can not even afford to eat a meal once a day because of the selfish and incompetent Mahama government and its under achieved administration, dancing with the President to the tune of "Yentie Obiaa" on that faithful day was seen as his demonstration of total moral irresponsibility and disloyalty to his own Asante Kingdom, and so lost his self-respect in the eyes of the people he is supposed to lead. Otumfuo brought his esteemed position into disrepute when he is perceived as having aligned himself with one political party, the ndc, fraternising and socialising politically. He represents the whole of Ashanti with different political persuations so to be seen openly dancing with Mahama to the politically negative song adopted by Mahama 'yentie obiara' in a way puts him in the same bag of those mocking the rest of the population. This is unbecoming of the King of Ashanti.

Think about this and answer this question: can you imagine the Queen of England, dancing with David Cameron to the tune Yentie obiara???

The Otumfuo should and must know that the chiefs under him are men in their own rights. They are men of respect in their various societies and answerable to them first. Equally, they have their own reputations to protect first and foremost before the Otumfuo.

If the Otumfuo shamelessly stoop so low to be dancing in private parties, he should suffer the consequences alone and should not make any attempt to drag the good name of his respected chiefs into disrepute. He should suffer the disgrace alone.
