We shouldn't be surprised with the outcome of the match. Secondly, most of out players are now blossoming. Even in their individual clubs, about 70 % are bench warmers.

Now here is the tricky part. We were defeated even worse during Milovan's first Afcon tournamen, which was his first. Ivory Cost whipped us 3-1. Do you recall that defeat? Wasn't almost the same defensive formation Milo used on that day? What happened at the end of the tournament? We went to the finals, didn't we?

This tells me anything could happen in the second match and the rest that follow. We just have to be calmed and see the outcome of the second match, which also is against the continental giants, Algeria. If we are able to beat them, confidence would be installed, and the rest of the teams would begin to shake.

To me, it is not over, until the fat lady sings. Therefore, this is nit the time to throw the towel.

All serious people who enjoy victory equally take defeat in good faith and that gives encouragement to do better in future but in Ghana if we lose a match then all hell broke lose,it is not a good sportsmanship and it discourages people.

Do we think a win or a victory in these games is a preserve for Ghana,do we think others who go there to compete go there to lose?

Lose or win let us support the boys,the coach and the technical team,it is easy to play with the mouth than the foot,the boys are playing with their feet,not their mouths.

Okay we lost. It's not the end of the world.My concern though is this. Our officials have always had it wrong when it comes to camping and preparing our team for major tournaments. During the preparation for the 2014 World Cup, our team camped at the backyard of one of our rivals, the US, and they beat us for the first time in 3 games. This time around, they chose Spain . Why did our officials choose to camp the team in wintry Spain to prepare for a tournament being played in the sweltering heat of Africa? While other African teams were camping in other countries in Africa , we jetted off to Spain. Why? It looks like the whole team was flat and lethargic in the second half. Their conditioning was very suspect. And the heat took its toll on them. Mind you, all their trial matches were played in cold Europe. My question to our GFA officials is this: Why did out officials choose to camp the team in Spain? The team looked so tired in the second half. It is high time our officials are made to understand that preparing for a major tournaments is not an opportunity to take a vacation at the nation's expense. It is happening one too often.
Now to the game itself:
The team has to be taught how to take set pieces, especially corners properly. With the height disadvantage that we have , you can't balloon all corners towards our opponent's goal and wish for the best. We have to have a strategy.
I think the goalkeeper did not do too bad. We could keep him in other games to build his confidence. He however needs to be taught a proper way to deliver balls to his players.

I don’t think our new Coach has a free hand to bring in the expelled players and it’s a shame for all of us as Ghanaians that we may not even be able to get out of the group stages. The Senegalese dominated the match from the first to 90th. minute. Ghana must change the approach to the next game or will be saying goodbye to the tournament.

Spain lost in their opening match to Swiss in 2010 World Cup but went on to win the cup. Football is not like before. Years gone when Ghana could roll on any nation in Africa is gone. The Black Stars have been in existence for over 50 years and we expect a continuation of their above-average standards and there should be no excuse other than bad technical management for such dismal performance.

I also disagree with the writer of the article for stupidly suggesting that those who have a soft spot for the former coach are lashing out at Avram Grant. That is pure nonsense.

Kwasi Appiah is a far better coach with pedigree than Avram Grant. At he very minimum, he has managed the national team to take part in the African Cup series and the World Cup several times. Has Avram Grant ever managed a team to either the European cup or the World Cup before? I really dont even blame Avram Grant. I blame those shallow-minded members of the GFA who suffer from inferiority complex and who decided to get rid of Appiah for reasons which are still not very clear.

I didnt watch the match because I had a gut feeling that nothing good would come out of it and I was right. I also fear that the Black Stars will not shine in this tournament but we wait to see, according to your predictions, if the Black Stars will bounce back into form.

Now look at what he's doing to the team. He can't even smell danger from afar. he sits so dull, his personality is so reactive. Until the GFA accepts that it was wrong with the suspended players....this will always be out outcome.

Leave AVRAM GRANT to call up the players he needs.
