Such useless arguments make me feel that there is no hope for Ghana under NDC. They don't even understand 'reckless' so how can they stop reckless borrowing. If heavy borrowing is used to develop the country's infrastructure and industrial capacity, then it is a good thing, no doubt! The country is vastly under-developed and, it can't remain so forever. It needs to move forward in development; else, it will be left behind for years on end. Meanwhile, the population is increasing; people need education, jobs, shelter, utilities, quick travel from one place to another and so on. All these require funds and if the country has not got them itself, it must borrow to provide them. Even the biggest economy in the world, America, has borrowed and, is in a higher debt than many countries put together, but it enjoys a bigger economy than all of them in aggregate. The main thing is getting it right for the use of the borrowing.
