He talked about political recruitment and its effect on the system. Doesn't it include the NDC also. Many security personel lost their jobs under AFRC and NDC era under the leadership of Chairman Rawlings.Out of these persennels who lost their jobs many died prematurely because they couldn't bear with the situation,few were able to flee out of the country and the brave ones stayed and battled their cases out through Human Rights and Administration Justice. Some were exonerated and reinstated others were still repremanded.This is democracy so,Kofi if you felt humiliated under NPP government because you were lead Policeman for Rawlings; please go through the proper channel to address your grievnances rather than what you are trying to portray it will hurt your career in future irrespective of the party in power.

If I should paraphrase- "The NPP thought he was a threat because he had worked with JJ but someone was smart enough to reveal the need to tap his enormous experience and employed it for the safety of our people. They used him and it worked-What's the big deal? Mandela employed the same tactics by maintaining the existing security and sandwitching a few blacks when he assumed power,and avoided any eruption between the whites and the blacks of south Africa. Kofi is saying politicians should take away nepotism when it comes to national security. Just listen to him because the guy is a pillar in terms of battling arm robbery and stuff like that. I suggest he is made the next IGP and Ghana Police Service will be stronger. The cocaine cases are just allegations from the armed robbers, and immatured politicians who just want to bring him down so they can have their ways. Kofi, just keep up the good work!
