It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Assuming that what Asiedu-Nketsia is now saying is true, then it means that the JOY fm producer lied to the whole country this morning when he openly claimed that Asiedu-Nketsia had tacitly confirmed his participation in the said NEWS FILE program.

Even when the CPP Gen Sec. Ivor Greenstreet protested on air this morning that the least the JOY fm producer could have done to the other General Secretaries was to inform them beforehand that the NDC Gen Secretary could not be reached to confirm his participation, he was roundly demeaned by the upstart JOY fm morning host for being ridiculous.

The morning show host went on to belittle the other Gen Secretaries who had refused to appear on the show even though they had been lured to come to the studio on the false belief that Asiedu-Nketsia, the Gen. Sec of the ruling Party, would be there to make the program complete.

It seems to me that apart from the lie that the producer inflicted on the public, both the JOY fm morning host as well as his producer displayed extreme dishonesty as well as shameful naivety in not understanding or being sensitive to the political intricacies of the concerns of the protesting Gen Secretaries.

The naive morning show host, stupidly went on to claim that corporations pay lots of money to air their views on JOY fm so in other words, the protesting political parties were not doing themselves a favour by deciding not to take part in the free show simply because the NDC Gen. Sec was not there.

It must be well understood that the disquiet from the JOY fm boys came more from the financial loss that JOY fm would suffer by the abstention of the Gen Secretaries of the other political parties than the presumed loss of image that the said political parties would suffer. This is not the first time that JOY fm, or for that matter, other presumptuous media organizations have ill-advisedly attempted to upstage or eyeball political parties in this country. Certainly it will not be the last time that they will learn the hard way with their tails between their legs that politics is a totally different ball game.

The JOY fm morning show host obviously thinks that governance and political competition can be equated to selling life insurance, coca cola, Joy Daddy bitters or beer on air. Well thank God that he is just a radio show host and not a politician otherwise we would have been in a much greater mess than we already find ourselves in.

I think the collusion by the producer and the morning show host to scheme and to blatantly lie to the concerned Gen Secretaries and the public - and then standing on their mischievously hatched lie, to demean the image of the protesting Gen Secretaries, has badly dented and let the image of the JOY fm station down. I hope the concerned political parties take a concerted stand to boycott JOY fm for a few weeks to teach them a lesson.

Mr Asiedu Nketia’s coat captured in a number of photographs during President Mahama’s recent visit to Germany has been the talk of town in Ghana with some describing it as feminine.
“In an interview with a Kumasi based radio station, Hello FM on Friday morning, the NDC General Secretary explained he was aware that coat was feminine.

A senior official in Ghana's ruling party has laughed off criticism for wearing his wife's coat during an official visit to Germany, it's reported.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, general secretary of the National Democratic Congress, was snapped wearing a camel-coloured, fur-trimmed number on the trip, and was promptly ridiculed by fellow politicians and social media users, the Graphic website reports. Mr Nketia says nobody in Germany mentioned his choice of attire, but it was a different story back home in Ghana, where one opposition politician seized on the fashion choice as evidence of a "totally confused" administration.
Mr Nketia has met the mockery with good humour, and says he isn't bothered by the fuss. "When we embark on a state visit... we are going to use our brains to help the country, not to showcase our attire at fashion show," he said in a radio interview, adding that he didn't see the point in buying a new coat for such a fleeting visit. And it seems there is an upside to being ridiculed for your fashion choices. In an interview published on the Ghana Vibes website Mr Nketia says: "I can hit my chest and say that I'm the only political party executive to chart a new fashion trend."

It is a discussion, a platform for General secretaries of political parties to brainstorm and debate issues concerning our electoral reforms.
Is Gen. Mosquito now telling Ghanaians he's afraid of debates? Is Gen. Mosquito saying he lacks the capability to engage in such a very important exercise about debating on the issues of electoral governance reforms?
Gen. Mosquito should not forget that he has stated categorically that he can debate any and everybody on any issue and platform in this country, so what is he afraid off? What is he running away from?
Gen. Mosquito cannot runaway from this exercise. He needs to debate the issues concerning the electoral reforms using the platform created for General secretaries in an open and transparent manner. Gen. Mosquito cannot runaway now. Gen. Mosquito needs to debate the issues.
