  Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults. Some may be successful businessmen who just want to learn a thing or two. Others may be practising teachers or nurses who want to get a first or master's degree. They may look so young.
  
  
  It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement when recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??
  
  Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.
  
  GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.
