I however cut the newspaper report and mailed it to my cousin who was then a student in the Medical Academy of Leningrad. He was a lieutenant in the Ghana Army. As young as we were, we were planning to end the autocratic rule of Nkrumah. Kotoka took the wind out of our sail. May J.B.Danquah rest in peace. He really fought a good fight. Ghana today is the vision that he aspired for: freedom of expression and freedom of association, market economy with minimal state involvement in the means of production

First of, if the Busia-Danquah principles were viable why has the Okyehene not implemented any over his kingdom? Why has Nana Akufo-Addo not advocated it through the municipal or districts he has represented in Parliament for over a dozen years? Why did Kufour and the NPP not practice as much of the Busia-Danquah principles as the constitution could permit? It has always fascinated me when the educated faction within the NPP continue to taut Busia-Danquah ideology but has never applied it's principles in their own corners of the world but stay stuck with the foolishness.
