Sometimes it is shocking with certain high profile errors or favouritism to say the least. Is this to suggest that among the teeming human resources at GRA there are no persons so qualified to do what these retirees are being asked to come and do? If the answer is even yes, then the retirees themselves are not qualified to do the job again. They should have trained their subordinates for a day like this. If they did not then they could be said to be greedy but if they did kudos and they should be bold to suggest those they trained as their replacement and stay to enjoy their blessed retirement.

Rather than the Chief of staff waste time appointing retired guys why not address the recent general PROMOTIONS which was fraught with RISKS,INCOMPETENCE,INEPTITUDE,INEFFICIENCY, and above all CORRUPTION.

I personally know those officers. They are no nonsense officers who think about the nation and not their pockets. Go check on their track records at CEPS.

The seat of govt. is doing this to improve the revenue collections.
The incompetent ones who only think about their pockets are hiring press men to write imbalanced articles.
Those at the seat of govt. are not stupid and know what they are doing.

Revenue required for nation building is going into individual pockets. The govts. wants to do something about it and politicians are complaining. The same people complain about lack of amenities.
How do we get the amenities if we continue to allow bribery and corruption at the points of collection.
Go see what is happening in the ports of Ghana.

Why was he removed just before his retirement was due? If you want to defend them do so with their political inclination, but not their track record at CEPS. Come again.

These officers have been well known in CEPS to be aggressive and hardworking people. Some of them were even in task forces that brought improvement to the revenue base at the time. That is the reason they are being called not political colouring.
How do you which parties they voted for?

Some of you 'skin pain' guy always want to tarnish other's reputation.
Maybe you are one of those instigating the press to write all the trash but it will end nowhere.
Stop politicizing everything in Ghana. It will do us no good.

Let the government bring back old but competent officials to start the capacity building process as long as they will also not come back only to create another means of collecting bribe.

This should apply from top to bottom. Targets should be reviewed annually. This will change the agency in 5 years.
