Akuffo-Addo is basically insane to suggest that point. Nkrumah after all was too kind. We will be reminding you soon of how NPP elements including Akufo-Addo’s father put Nzemas such as Boye Moses in very small iron-fenced cages suitable for dogs and paraded them throughout the principal streets of Accra after the 24 February 1966 coup that overthrew Nkrumah. This was similar to what the Islamic State is currently doing now in Iraq. What did Nzemas do for this fate? And the old fool Freddie Blay is now on the side of this completely insane Akufo-Addo. How can the so-called liberal tradition of the NPP expel over million West Africans living in Ghana, of which many were born in Ghana, with only two weeks notice in 1969 and use the chance to steal their properties or buy their properties at bargain prices.

Bui dam which runs on three turbines to produce about 450mw is presently running on just One turbine. Akosombo now runs on 4 out of 6 turbines. Hydro as it were maybe the cheapest source of power but what of its realibility? It is a known fact that water levels all over the globe is dwindling! In Ghana, Value for money in all of our procurement practices is opting for the cheapest forgetting about durability, quality and sustainability! Let's invest heavily in reliable alternative power generation projects and stop this shallow and cheap sources as our only alternatives.

It would be recalled that the ECG Boss predicted that if electric power generation from the Akosombo dam was not cut back, the Akosombo dam would have to shut down because the water level was getting low and it needed to be conserved, so electric power could be generated till the rains set in in May/June.
It wasn't long before the populous horde of dimwits in the NDC party started screaming and shouting that, somebody was trying to sabotage John Mahama's NDC gov't and that Akosombo should go full steam against sound, better advice and professional judgment.
Indeed it was one of the reasons why the ECG Boss was dismissed by John Mahama in the latter part of last year.
Today the dismissed ECG boss has been vindicated, and the water level in the Akosombo dam which some sought to conserve so it could last till the rains set in May has dipped precipitously, leading to the shutting down of one more turbine with a further drop in power generation.
Meanwhile the thermal plants are idling because the funds to buy crude oil to power them have been looted wantonly and indiscriminately by the Mahama-led NDC govt.
The Power Minister is telling Ghanaians that two power barges are coming from Turkey to supplant supply in the interim.
The question that Dr. Kwabena Donkor should be answering Ghanaians is, those power barges, are they going to be running on air to generate the electricity?
Are those power barges not going to be using crude oil, diesel or gas?
So if those barges are going to be using crude oil, diesel or gas and there's money to buy the crude oil, diesel or gas for the yet to be seen power barges, why is that money not being used to buy the crude oil and gas now, to power the thermal plants which are currently idling?
The Power Minister should preach these stories to the marines.
Ghanaians are saying enough is enough with the dumsor, dumsor. The Mahama-led NDC gov't should resign now. No more dumsor again. The John Mahama-led NDC gov't should resign now!!!.

The thermal plants can run on both gas and petrol. The problem is that VRA says it is currently unable to use all the gas that GNGC can supply to produce electricity. If they were able to use all the gas produced from the Jubilee fields, it would go a log way to improve the dumso dumso.

One has to question why VRA failed to prepare for the availability of gas from our own Jubilee fields. The senior management of VRA must be bold enough to tell us what they are doing to provide us with enough electricity.
