“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

That image should represent us as a nation, for we are a God serving and worshiping nation. You can't pray to God and mock God at the same time with your images. God is not mocked. It is typical for Ghanaians to always pass the responsibility to God....as if God has nothing better to be doing than presiding over a football game, when we have people dying in our hospitals, ignoramuses in Parliament laughing at serious cultural issues concerning FGM, no electricity and water in the year 2015. God does not help those who do not help themselves and their fellow citizens. A society is judged by how we treat the most vulnerable within our society....and I am afraid that Ghana and all these egotistical, self centered pleaders and politicians are failing!!! President Mahama should start praying for himself, he is going to need all the prayers he can get, in this life and the next.

The funny thing is that these staunch church-goers are the same people bent on crippling the economy of the state; meet them the following day after church at their various work places and see how they handle the same people they're paid to serve.

I'm surprised to see a whole president trying to depend on the possible success of a national football team through prayers.

In order to emerge victorious, the Black stars ought to work hard since their opponents are bent on doing everything possible to become champions which nevertheless wouldn't come on a silver platter neither would it be achieved only by prayers.

I personally believe in praying for things we don't control, like avoiding injuries or calamities, but not for God to let one nation win a football game against another.

No doubt we are where we are today as a country. If I am not mistaken over 80% of Ghanaians are christian, always praying for end results in our lives ( food, money, jobs etc) . Judging from the hardship in the country, there's no doubt God is not listening to our prayers.
Praying to God for rains for Akosombo dam. You think God is punishing us, that's why we are not having rains in the Akosombo area? Is it true that the more timber we cut down the less rains we get? :(
Praying to God to put food on our tables.(mana from heaven. huh) Yeah right! What happens to the brains and strength God gave you.

Sit down, don't do nothing, blow all the monies you borrow on personal aggrandizement, make all the bad decisions, mismanagement every project you undertake , and PRAY all year for rains,jobs, food , victories in soccer . Yes you will get them all. The ever merciful God.
I have seen big cities going bankrupt, all because of mismanagement. No amount of prayers could help them. Use the brains God gave you and pray for direction to use them

I will rather pray for more brain power from God. Because it is something I cannot control. I will pray for God for guidance and help me make the right decisions.
I will use the 'HUMAN RESOURCES' God has given me to put food on the table, have reliable sources of energy,think ahead and be proactive; provide the support, amenities to train our footballers to become the best they can be and win tournaments.
We should strive to control our own destiny with the gifts God has endowed us with.

God is not listening to our leaders so Ghana beat Cote D'Ivoire.
The better team with the best strategy will win.
On paper Cote D'voire has more skillful players than Ghana. I believe the Black Star players are more determined to win.
The odds favor Cote D'voire but sports does not follow logic.
All you can do is to continue to show supporting your team and boost their morale.
Please leave God out of picking the winner. We are all children of God. No favoritism.
