On my return i read the first four comments and raelised that GHFUO you were more than right. Kwasi Appiah did very well before the final match. But the match against Ivory Coast was just bigger than DUTE. His passes were terrible.He could not just fit in and Coach Grant left him. Agemang Badu should have come in earlier to push the the game to the ivorians. My saggy brother Jordan should also have come in just after half time for our young Appiah.But coach Grant was scared to risk. Life is about taking a risk to succeed. Congratulations to the Ivorians.
I thought the referee did a terrible job against them in the Brazil WC against Greece. Now, they've, at least, gotten something back to soothe that pain.

For us, well, there's always next time.

Overall, our players did a marvelous job against all odds. Well Done!

There was once a hat seller who passed through the forest. The weather was very hot and he decided to take a nap under one of the trees, so he left his whole basket of hats by the side.
A few hours later, he woke up and realised that all his hats were gone. Then he heard some monkeys on top of the tree and looked up. To his surprise, the tree was full of monkeys. They had taken all his hats! The hat seller sits down and try to think on how he could get the hats down. He started to think and scratched his head. The next moment, he realized that the monkeys were doing the same thing. Next, he took down his own hat and fanned himself. The monkeys did exactly the same. Then an idea struck him, he took his hat and threw it on the floor, the monkeys did the same too.
Happily, he quickly collected all his hats back.

Thirty Three years later, his grandson also became a hat seller and also got to hear the monkey story from his grandfather. One day, just like his grandfather, he passed through the same forest.
Feeling very hot, he took a nap under the same tree and left the hats on the floor.
Again, when he woke up, he realised that all his hats were gone. He looked up and found that the monkeys had taken all his hats. Remembering what his grandfather told him, he started scratching his head and the monkeys followed. He took down his hat and fanned himself and again the monkeys followed.
Now, very convinced of his grandfather's idea, he threw his hat on the floor, but to his greatest surprise, the monkeys still held onto all the hats.

Then one bold monkey climbed down the tree, grabbed the hat on the floor and sneered, "You

Kudos to all our stars and coach his assistant Konadu you have demonstrated what it takes to be warriors you played as a team but luck was again not on our side.Now our keeper Braimah has stood tall throughout the fiesta but a weakness which player or human has is that he needs to work on penalties which is not easy anyway for anyone because it is easier sad than done but he has to work very very hard on that or the coach now that he is getting to know each player better will have to figure out which of the keepers is going to be our goal tender when everything is to penalty shootout because for now this Braimah is our number one goal tender but when it comes to penalties he is not there yet so that is his rough edge.He grabs the ball firmly,parries well,fearless,communicates well etc.but when it come to penalties he gets an F.He is very young so he should not allow this hard pill to destroy his confidence because all keepers and players have a weakness if you watch them critically.This a bitter defeat but that is not the end of the world because you all deserve every praise because you all showed up Dede,Acquah,Atsu,Wakaso,Boye,Johnathan,Braimah,Baba,Gyan,Afful,Badu,Acheampong,Acquah were all a dazzle to watch.Bravo to you all again and again.

Had we put this old team under sustained pressure, we would have scree against them. It looked as if we were too cautious. We had the power , pace and energy to have put them on the back foot and won the game. Penalty kicks can go either way, we should have never let it get to penalties, sad but well done to the boys for having made it to the finals.

When your team needed you the most to lead them to victory you chickened out last minute to avoid playing penalties, a real captain stays with his team till the end, not someone who wants to captain but when it comes to challenges they ask to be substituted to avoid a backlash at home incase he misses a penalty kick. Dede is the real hero because he stepped in to lead in your absence. Even though they lost at least they gave their all Atsu was splendid . Better luck next time guys, we need to train all our players how to play penalty kicks no exceptions!. We were this close to winning but luck eluded us today due to poor preparation. Gold is good but silver is better than nothing my opinion.

If a captain will not lead when is most needed, please resign and Dede should be the new captain. May be, Dede can help to bring back Sule Muntari, Michael Essien, KPB and Adam K. into the team.

I also blamed the Coach, your first five penalty kickers should have been:
1. Dede
2. Atsu
3. Jordan
4. Gyan
5. Afful
6.Agyemang-Badu

The coach couldn't have gone wrong with our best players doing the critical job for mother Ghana. Coach Gram or whatever the name, should be held accountable for jon not well done.

I predicted Ghana will win on Technical grounds and it was there for grabs, 2 up against a poorly Ivory coast who were outplayed in all department, down with 2 goals deficit, all the Black Stars players need to do is to convert the penalties and nothing more at this level. A Gyan wasint at all in the game may be not fit for this particular game right from the beginning and the coach should have made a very positive change to increase the attack on the Ivorians but kept him there for so long but for the players to miss two golden chances like that at this level is very much unusual and disappointing. No wonder Andre Ayew was crying and i felt very sorry for him for being led down in this way. Am sure they will pick up the pieces and do it better next time. They simply blew a gloroius opportunity and in life opportunity always comes but once and if you fail to capitalize on the chance you end up loosing everything and that was what happened tonite.

Our players can only be motivated with this kind of loss, be encouraged that these players from now on ,will fight and fight to win any single match knowing that penalties will not be their best interest.This is the kind of defeat that brings joy to our soul ,not sorrow.
