“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

Grant and his technical team lacked attention to detail and were negligent. They failed to Cross their Is and dot their Ts. Especially at the 8 and 7.
I told you to play jordan on the wing and atsu know the pocket. Ghana failed because you switched the players. Allowing appiah to continue to play useless was also a HUGE liability. These are the 3 ingredients as to why we lost. Rewatch the game and see the mistakes. Grant was negligent and lacked attention to detail.
Grant, you remained conservative and refused to take risks. Gh lost becos you failed to make crucial changes when the going was getting tough as in appiah. The guy was clearly not up.to the task and you refused to rub your eyes and believe the reality you were seeing. You are slowly becoming like the typical narcissistic Ghanaian. To stay above water, change is necessary to survive. You blatantly refused to heed to this mantra. Why? Secondly, You also lacked the requisite skill in plugging the right players in spots to get the best out of them. Appiah, Jordan lacked the skill to be effective in the pocket/8spot..given the calibre and quality of players they was up against. So what you should have done was utilize atsu in the pocket to use his skill, speed and flair against the slow and foul prone veteran ivorians defenders. Deploy speedy jordan, acheampong on the wings. You didn't do either of this. Thirdly, the 8spot spot and right wing spots were our Achilles heel. You could even see Atsu coming inside to play the 8spot sometimes, becos appiah was trash. How many crosses to the right simply became useless balls throughout the game? Atsu was trying to play 2positions at the same time. Just rewatch the final and pay heed to what I'm saying here and you will see the glaring mistakes. Ghana should have beaten them before regulation. We failed becos coach either refused to heed to reality or simply remained narcissistic. These 3 were the issues as to why we lost. I turned off my tv after extra time. Penalties is as good as a coin toss, ask Mali. Penalties is not a fair assessor of who the better team is.

While Ivory Coast was buy sending more supporters to E Guinea, all these NPP people were doing was questioning the rationale of sending supporters to cheer the Black Stars and where the money came frm. Why do NPP always want to be tagged enemies of progress. No wonder from2000 to 2008 nothing was won. Not even a final appearance in AFCON. Now JJ won in 1982, finals in 1992, Mills finals in 2010, Mahama finals in 2015. What is the record of Nana Addo and his NPP as far as Black Stars are concerned? Nil.

According to him, Nkrumah's opponents have been peddling falsehood and giving a negative account of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first President.

“The impression is given that Nkrumah was such a mindless and ruthless dictator. That he was just going about arresting his opponents and locking them up in prison for no reason. And indeed, only recently, the detention of Obetsebi Lamptey was also celebrated in order to give credence to this image of Nkrumah as a ruthless and mindless dictator who was just arresting his opponents and locking them up."

Kwesi Pratt revealed that it was Nana Addo's own father, Justice Edward Akufo-Addo, who presided over the case together with other two Judges, and convicted Obetsebi Lamptey of terrorism.

“I’ve done a little work on the case of Obetsebi Lamptey and how Obetsebi Lamptey came to be detained. Obetsebi Lamptey was tried by a competent court and sentenced to a prison term for terrorism.

“It was Akufo-Addo’s own father who tried Obetsebi Lamptey and came to the conclusion that Obetsebi Lamptey is a leader of a terrorist cell and decided that he probably deserves to be in prison and imprisoned him; not Kwame Nkrumah”, yet an impression is created in the minds of Ghanaians that it was Nkrumah who arrested him and “as if he was arrested and detained without trial," Mr. Pratt said.

He continued; “He was properly tried. Akufo-Addo’s father was a member of that panel which convicted Obetsebi Lamptey for terrorism and you can do that for all the other cases and so on.”

Kwesi Pratt further discounted claims that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah masterminded the detention of J.B Danquah which eventually led to his death.

He stated that Nkrumah could not have assented to J.B Danquah being detained because Ghana's historical account doesn't provide such evidence.
