In Ghana, where the economy is struggling and there's lights off bidding for AFCON is NOT a priority.

The reality is that Gabon is likely to be the host. They hosted recently and no conflict. Ghana has dumsor and Algeria and Egypt are conflict prone. It would have been nice to Kenya on the shortlist.

Or you can host the afcon in the bellies of mahama and nyantakyi. BEcos that's where their interest lies.

Ghana need this Cup so badly and I pity the Black stars. However, remember you had hosted Afcon twice since 2000 and couldnt win. How do you ensure a win? The Black Stars will still end up not winning should they host the competition in 2017. I pity the fans: whilsts fans in Egypt, Zambia and Ivory Coast have seen their Teams win Afcon in the last 10 years, the fans in Ghana have not!

With all due respect AFCON, if I am being honest, is viewed poorly by non Africans. The only national teams respected by non Afrcians are the two that contested the final (give you a hint it's not Nigeria) and probably Algeria.

Nigeria are still only on 3 Afcons yet in 33 years of Ghana winning nothing you still couldn't even catch us.

You appeared at the WC first in 1994 and us in 2006 but yet we have more reached the Quarters at the 2nd attempt....shhhhhhhhh my Nigerian friend.

Who remembers who comes second. We only remember the Winner! That is why we can rememeber that Zambia won it in 2012, Nigeria in 2013 and Ivory Coast in 2015. Who told you that Afcon is viewed poorly by non Africans. No wonder your FA is so desperate to win the Cup. Some few Ghanaians always overate their Team, a Team that has won nothing in 33 years. You got to the quarter final in 2010 in South Africa (world cup) but what happened at the 2014 world cup : FAILURE!!!. Within the last time you won Afcon and 2013, Nigeria has won 2 Afcon competitions and one olympic gold medal in football and one silver medal in football. My brother, it is good not to qualify than to qualify and 'lack the mental ability to win ' and subject the whole nation to heartaches!! When you got to the final of world cup, did you win any Cup? My friend, the only world cup is awarded to the winner and not the quarterfinalist

Than it is today, with more teams, better competition, better facilities etc. I'm not taking anything away from Ghana's previous afcons, but let's be realistic. It took fifa to increase the wcup slots to 5 before ghana finally made.

If are are trying to bid for the AFCON 2017 then we have to build a strong wall hiding the whole of Ashiaman. We need to build a mountain first and then build the fencing along that created mountain so that the fencing hides the Ashiaman from the public eye. It is distasteful.

Where do you think all the people in Ashaiman will go if you destroy every thing there?? Better to co-host with Ivory Coast so that we only have 2 standard locations in Ghana but final to be played in Abidjan.
