The real problem is the P/NDC party and its government that have been in power now for almost seven years and had earlier squandered 20years of our lives.

With unprecedented revenues, and being in power more than any other party, the P/ND government should have been better positioned to diagnose and implement a Better Ghana Agenda in Power, water and agriculture from day one in 2009, and not go on pursuing their present 'Worse Ghana Agenda' with massive corruption and reckless borrowing that have landed us in the present situation. Ghanaians can't wait any longer because they are fed up.

Have you read about thermal energy plants in your life?

There are a lot of countries around the world with no rivers large enough to build to hydro-electric dams yet they enjoy electricity 24/7 and you know why? They invested heavily in other forms of power generation... thermal power plants being the most easily constructed and ran.

So why can't Ghana do the same with our abundant riches, moron?

We have oil and gas to fire up hundreds of these plants so what is stopping us except the thieving and corrupt mentality of our political leadership...not to mention lack of vision and foresight?

I am one of the millions who are woefully disappointed by President Mahama's administration but what use will it be to just castigate him day in day out? He is just struggling with getting somethings right. What more can one expect of him than to give him time to grab the right solution. Up to when? Perhaps till a solution is found or he consults with energy experts and astute technocrats irrespective of their political leanings. One hopes bipartisan approach would be adopted by the administration before the year 2016.

Dear Edward, Sensible Ghanaians are now angry at, and impatient with Mahama now because they are fed up with the lies he and his 'co-equals' have been spinning. Most Ghanaians are very tolerant it is when you 'get their goat' that they go WILD. Your Dad's Govt like some of the Govts preceding fore saw the power crisis and made efforts, perhaps half heartedly, to resolve the problems, but this CLULESS Mahama Govt does not seriously appreciate the problems that will result will the on going power and fuel shortages. This Govt thinks the whole issue is a joke and have resorted to lies and propaganda. In their fumbling ways they think merely creating new Ministries, Authorities, Boards, etc., will resolve the problems. Well I tell them the mere crating on these entities will not help much. Have a look at the fight between the GNPC and the Gas Board/Authority? Does that make sense and dose it in any way help the DUMSO, DUMSO?
