Change in any system is said to be most effective when begins from within. If Ken could galvanize his resources, including his Media outfit, to push the MPs to believe what he is saying and help them to change hearts as I think he has done, we would be half-way down the positive road to recovery in all aspects of our Nation building.

What our nation needs right now is an unconditional Truth and Reconciliation Gettogether (TRG) involving Ghanaians of all persuasions, from home and abroad, all political parties, civil societies, diverse associations, youth and elders, chiefs, as well as faith-based organizations, and academician.

We must all be prepared to unconditionally reset the button to reformat A New Ghana in which all Nkumahists and Danquahists work together to build a new sustainable GHANA that is hardworking, educated, and corrupt-free.

We Ghanaians, and particularly blacks, are afraid to look in the mirror because we do not like what we see, yet hardly ever do we examine ourselves to find out what is wrong with us.

As a nation, how do we ever find ourselves in a situation where we have to call in the IMF to purge the corruption in government payroll. Do you understand how demeaning and embarrassing for a foreign institution to perform such simple task for our government? I am so frustrated with my own people and so is Ken Agyepong.

There are many countries who have no need to invite the IMF to bail them out, but how many times have our governments approach the IMF for bailout? Singapore and the Asian Tigers had no use for the IMF in their development efforts, in fact, they rebuffed the IMF attempts to insert itself into their development programs. But the African - the Ghanaian is always at their door knocking for a bailout. Listen, IMF is not cheap - it always heeds our call for bailout because it knows Ghana has so much resources that will benefit their trustees.

Ken Agyepong is frustrated and so am I. We are indeed evil and self-deprecating.

Let us be bold to criticize our own people, or perhaps invest in their education for enlightenment then we can talk Truth and Reconciliation.

It is sad to say, but for some reason it appears we are genetically wired for destruction. As I have been saying, of all the races in the world, it is only the black race that waged war among ourselves, captured our own people and sold them into slavery for useless things like mirror, rum, gunpowder, spices, etc.

After many centuries away, you would think we have changed. During the divestiture of Nkrumah's numerous state-owned enterprises, Rawlings and his NDC government in the 80s and 90s selectively sold almost all these companies to foreigner - Lebanese, Syrians, Indians, Italians, French, you name it. This was after the cedi had been devalued via IMF directives. Go to our corporate boardrooms today and all you will is white faces to the exclusion of our own people. Is this not another form of slave trade?

How about JA Kufuor selling our prized Ashanti Goldfields Ltd. for a mere vain glory in Buckingham Palace? A marquee heirloom that enjoyed the protection from all past Presidents; Nkrumah, Ankrah's NLC, JJ Rawlings who borrowed a huge amount of money from the IMF to bail out Ashanti when it was in distress, and appointed the first black CEO, Sam Jonah. But JA Kufuor came and in 2003 painfully sold our only international company listed on both London and New York exchanges for pennies and went on to have a lavish part with the Queen at Buckingham Palace. The most painful part of this transaction is the agreement that allows Anglogold to lease our rich gold mines, including the richest Obuasi mines for 55 years. You should look for purchase agreement of Ashanti Goldfields Ltd. and if you will know why I am in a total agreement with Ken Agyapong that we are evil people.

AShanti Goldfields was a give way, not to mention the tax free period that was part of the agreement. Ashanti was almost bankrupt when JJ Rawlings came to power, but he knew this company was too good to allow the international vultures to descend on it, he went to the IMF and borrowed $110 million to bail Ashanti. Ashanti was in similar situation in 1966 when after the coup. Ankrah appointed a commission to comb the world to look for investors and thereby saved Ashanti. What attempt did Kufuor and his perfidious NPP make to save Ashanti after Ashanti's hedging fiasco?

We are evil and it is time we look ourselves in the mirror how abominable we are an make a change.
