We have to spend millions of dollars on the players just because of the fleeting euphoria that their success could bring. Eight million dollars could be used to build eight clinics in different parts of the country. Why should Ghana waste its meager resources on such a vain thing as football. We are a very poor country. We should use our resources judiciously. Ghana's participation in tournaments is always a welcome opportunity for the powerful and the connected to steal. In an ideal world, Ghana should not qualify for any tournament so that politicians and powerful people would not steal from the state. Of course they are stealing even when there is no tournament around.

If gov't spent money on the Black Stars in the AFCON-2015 tournament, that's fine; attempting to inflate accounting figures on the Ghana's participation in the tournament is criminal and must be investigated. NDC is noted for over-invoicing, bloated registration forms, ghost names etc. Check into Ayariga's urine etc. the thing is in NDC's DNA; hey can't do away with it.
