That story is a great lie. I did listen to him on Adom FM and when questioned by T. K. Hammond that it was NDC under Oteng-Agyei who did that ordering those luxury cars he was fumbling. GNA source is a complete lies.

These buffoons are just twisting the facts at their own discretion. Now Mr Bawa is stating the negotiations started in 2006 with executive and parliament approvals effecting in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Omane Boamain in agreement with Napo also said the executive and parliament approved it in 2007 and 2008 without mentioning when it got started.
Ghanaians are less concerned about those dates of approval by the then incompetent NPP administration which was booted out by the electorate and ushered in a Competent NDC administration with the view of bringing smiles back to Ghanaians with good governance. Renegotiating the contract loan in 2009 and seeing a red flag and ignoring it is more serious than the first offender. If what Mr. Bawa is saying is true, he can do the tax payer good by making it public all the former as well as the renogotiated documents so Ghanaians can learn the truth about the whole nonsense.
Do we have any government official with the country at heart in these trying period of the country's history - I don't think so. From the Presidency to the bottom of the ladder is totally sick with corruption that cannot be cured. We are doomed for ever. E&OE.

Yes publish all documents relevant to the loan and let discerning Ghanaians judge for themselves. All we want is the truth of what happened with the obtaining of the loan and how it got disbursed.

That said, this report is bogus, nobody is disputing the fact that the materials were to be purchased in the US as a condition to get the loan but buying luxury cars with the loan, the condition did not say they must buy Lexus or expensive Chrysler cars.
There are many strong and less expensive cars in the US to buy,you don't need a Lexus LX 570 to visit projects,Lexus is not the type for such things.

I listened to Joy FM's Newsfile today and the fact was established that the vehicles were initially not part of the loan agreement, but it was the then NDC Minister who wrote to the contractors to give back some of the funds for the purchase of those vehicles. And the value for money audit was started by the NPP. Today the Deputy Minister for Energy John Jinapor was seen fumbling on the programme.
What a shame , NDC, always duping Ghana and trying to rope in the NDC.
This govt never told the truth
