Those generators cannot bring any change in the system rather they will increase the problem looking for money to buy fuel to operate them,it is better to rent it than to keep it.

Tell us what you think should have been done to machines which were lying down since 2007 when the problem became worse up until today,remember this administration was not there in 2007.

The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

My point if a war torn and Ebola stricken country like Sierra Leone can find a way to use these generators to boost their energy supply while wait for manner (rain) to come down and fill our dams so that we can generate hydroelectric power, then we need prayer from the Dear Lord. Like, the occupier of the Flagstaff house you the same mentality. Of course, these generators will meet the whole demand of our power consummation. However, with proper planning (as these Sierra Leoneans do but our Government seemly lacks) we could have put into use to benefit our citizenry.
My question to you is: Where do you think these Sierra Leoneans are going to find money to generate power from these generators? Until the dear Lord answers prayers to send the rain, can’t we find from them….

Corney, will you starve your children to safe for their future? If you starve your children now to death, whatever you save for their future will be worthless because there will be no future for them and that is exactly what Ndc is doing. People are dying because of lack f electricity at our hospitals and others burning to death because of use of candles and this government is renting out generators that can save lives and jobs?

Now it is lack of funds, it was Engineers at VRA, low water level, Npp not making future plans for electricity, now the President is telling Ghanaians it is because of too many cell phones in Ghana.

It was no gift. Those generators are not the only ones that were to be run on fuel. Mills did not see the need to give them to S. Leone. So was Kuffour. Why Mahama? Let me ask you this. The barges being imported from Turkey will be run on what? Is it not fuel? Mahama's government is messed up. During which regime was there DUMSOR at the hospital to the situation that surgery could not be performed and morgues are ready to close down? Even if there is a drop or electricity, we should not include hospitals in Dumsor where everything will be shut down. If Mahama will lisyen, speak to him.

What's happening to our own gas project. Can we use tankers to carry the gas to the gas generators until pipelines have been laid. This 250m deal for the two barges will definitely involve someone taking a cut somewhere. We need to fully investigate all this. It doesn't make sense at all.

Instead of using these generators at our hospitals and industries to mitigate our problems we are renting them out to Sierra Leone. So they are toys but Sierra Leone can use these toys.

This government continue to lie to Ghanaians about why we are rationing electricity. One megawatt plant generator can supply all the electricity need of Korle Bu hospital, why not use it? We are not using them because the government has no money to fuel them but we have money to reward each Blackstars player to the tune of over $150,000 including the cost of cars.

Everything about this administration is decided based on politics. This government is not using these generators because it has called these generators useless and it will be political bombshell if it concede these generators are useful.

I'm surprised you don't see the problem of many of these Ghanaian Engineers who are just under aircondition Engineers doing little while machines are being broken down before they start thinking of fixing them.

I agree with you,we claim we don't have money but we have money to pay football players who are already making thousands of dollars a week,we claim we don't have money but we have money to fly people abroad to watch football games,something even the rich countries are not doing.
But why blame only the NDC government,NPP I believe support that,hence their silence on that,all politicians in the country believe in wasting money on these football players than to waste money on infrastructure.

On what basis were those Plants given to Sierra Leone? And who set the rate at which they were rented out? Besides, where is the Rental revenue? Has that fund ever been factored or referred to in any of the Government's budgets? Or, the revenue from that deal goes into some hidden, or private Account?

Honestly, Mahama either doesn't care, or he is not in full charge of his Administration. I seriously doubt that should there be any revelation that the said renting was done surreptitiously by some corrupt Officials who might be pocketing the revenue, Mahama would ever prosecute those culprits.

Thus far, we have not seen anyone forced to pay back the SADA stolen funds. GYEEDA still remains an uncompensated victim of crooked Officials of the Administration. And Woyome is still sitting on the fraudulently acquired Millions from the State, long after the Courts decided against him to refund that money. He would never see the walls of Jail for that, either.

Many others have been emboldened by such inaction from the Government to legally penalize corrupt Officials to repeat similar crimes in various sections of the System.

They have felt the mouth of the Mahama Administration and found it to be toothless. It cannot bite them. So, they keep on stealing, or loofing around their responsible positions.

Mahama may think prosecuting these culpable Officials is unchristian but it is his Administration's lack of commitment to successfully prosecute the criminals among them that is even more unchristian.

Maybe the President has to visit with his Pastor to seek ecclestiastical confirmation of the moral justification in letting the Justice/Court take its course.

They could be released to our hospitals because a generating plant with 1MW capacity will not help the dumsor crisis to any significant extent.
Let us distribute the remaining 50 to our schools and hospitals.

Please check the facts on Osagyefompower plant it is inaccurate. The plant was ordered by GNPC subsidiary in 1995 and the plant was completed in 1999. but actual delivery happened in 2003.

The package and shipment to be shipped where? What kind of inconsistency is this? The MP is saying the plants have already been rented out. Which one is which? Excuse me to say this is rubbish and misleading the public. Of all this long writing, when one reads carefully it doesn't match what the MP is saying and what the reporter is communicating. What a pity?
