The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

I pray that you let them vote this USELESS and CLUELESS GOVERNMENT out. Let those who these FOOLISH VOTERS envy because they are prospering as a result of which they vote foolishly so that they will be equal with them prosper even more. Father let those who are sympathetic to these USELESS VOTERS stop giving them money when they come begging, so that they will realize 'Ghana is hard', and vote wisely this time round. Lord, there are too many office to office beggars in Ghana, that is a sign of poverty, kick those who encourage this out of office. If the president said the demonstration has encouraged him people can interprete that differently to ask does it mean for all these years he has not been encouraged to fix the problem up until the demonstration,NPP can also say the president has admitted to what they have been saying he is not serious to solve the problem,something many of us including his officials have been saying not true that he is not serious to solve the problem.

We don't have to answer every question from the media,that is how it is done in the civilized world to avoid implications.

The situation is getting progressively worse everyday -- many companies are not growing or in some cases have had to lay off workers. The problem with Mahama and Ghana presidents in general is that they don't have a plan they just sit in their offices like a village chief and wait for folks to visit and lament about their towns, then to please them go and do some unplanned projects for them. They tend to be reactive instead of proactive. Mills/Mahama may be doing projects but are they the critical projects the country needs? Can you imagine the confusion there would be not having power for even 4 hours where you live now in the West? How does any country progress without power? Demonstrations are part of our democratic process to express one's feelings about an issue, it is better than the uprisings you saw in the Arab Spring or for that matter coups; it keeps our politicians on their toes and puts the pressure on. The sad thing is most of the ministers we have today are insensitive and arrogant, in addition to being clueless and incompetent.

Let me site an example to you during Col. Acheampong who did not have neither secondary nor university education era when the Operation Feed Yourself(OFY) was launched with Col Bernasko as his Agric Secretary. No news item about the OFY would go out without the knowledge of both Acheampong and Bernasko. I worked in the Information and Publications Unit of Ministry of Agric. by then and knew how these Military men were doing and their sense of coherence which made the operation successful.

That dummy - Dr. Donkor is wrong by going different way from Mr. Mahama. However that do not make Mahama's comment anything to buy into, because Mahama is a con man and I will not trust him with anything. He is a cunning fella who dumb people like your type will have a trust in him. E&OE.
