The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

This Cudjoe talks about corruptions and Payroll fraud as if these elements in Ghanaian culture started recently . No, this evil spirit of corruption and payroll theft etc. probably started from Nkrumah's time through subsequent governments to now and still prevailing. If we want to, truthfully, fight such evil plagues we have to be honest and not bias, and do it collectively.

During one of our usual talks at a drinking place in Ghana on a visit, 4 months ago, a lawyer friend's story indicated that he under declared the number of his employees to the state insurance corporation when he was setting up his office. When I remarked that, that was immoral, he said "we have to save some money". Isn't that corruption, and when did the practice to beating government or the system start. Long ago and still lives with us. I did it, too, in the Long Room when I represented American company which tried to establish yarn factory at Osu. Having lived in the US for many years my morals are changed, therefore, I can question the integrity of hypocrite people like Cudjoe who still live among the demons.
