It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

Colossal sums of money meant to reduce poverty were embezzled by northern officials. Mahama and his cronies from the north must bow their heads in shame. Ghanaians have to go tp Burkina to buy tomatoes whenmoneymeant to develop the north was used for tree planting and guinnea fowls that never existed. The illiteracy has affected most of them so much that they do not know how to decide in a rational way (this can be said about other groups in Ghana). They seem to not care about development but let their inferiority complex get the best of them. The politicians will continue to milk them to enrich themselves while Ghanaians (especially those regions) wallow in poverty. Looking at the way forward, we are all Ghanaians. Let's get rid of the divisive mentality, recognize our mistakes and push for more accountability and transparency from all our leaders.

I think all monies spent outside the projects should be accounted for and put back to the state funds. President Mahama you got to do better than K4 who couldn't retrieve monies stolen from the state.
Sometimes, I think the armed robbers have proper course for their actions if they don't hurt the people they rob. What is the different between what they do and people(ministers) who steal from the state. The punishment the armed received should be giving to these savages too. They are building houses and educating their children with the tax payers money. While the tax payer's child cant get garrie to eat at the boarding house. Every breath you take in Ghana now has to be under the table.
Take this monies and development the north by creating jobs for the youth so that they can stop the migration to the south for something they will never find. The so call northern think tanks.I call them stupefied confused bastards.President Mahama should act on the commission reports and deal with these perpetually portentous bastards. One of the most callous,brutally destructive,primitive and backward thinking politician is majority leader Alban Bagbin.Alban Bagbin have a certain mindset that he must be the only one seen and heard from the upper west region.In the fiction of his own imagination he is deluded with the thought that he must be that eccentric autocrat who must think and dictate to the rest of the upper west.This senseless villain have other attributes that pose immense danger to the development of upper west.This unique characteristics of this contagious virus are avid greed and morbid jealousy.Why am i saying this?It is because discerning minds concern with the development of upper west have suffered serious brutalities once perceived as threat to his parochial interest.A good number of youth both NDC and NPP with contrary views have been victims of unexplained deaths or dismissals from work.The quit recent one was a doctor from the upper west region who was incredibly but fraudulently implicated with a mental illness then subsequently relieved of his duties on charges that he refused compulsory treatment.The doctor had his letters copied to Alban Bagbin then Health Minister before and after his sacking.The doctor did nothing except complaining and reporting corruption that was killing patients.This case exposed Alban Bagbin as one most corrupt politician who is also very cunning and crafty.Alban Bagbin was privy to documented information about the corrupt activities and illigalities in that hospital as the Health Minister but refused to act.In fact he defied a presidential inquiry into the case at Effia Nkwanta to have his own brother sacked from work in his determined diabolic intent to destroy the young doctor's life.I was utterly shocked when the young doctor told me Alban Bagbin claim he does not know about his dismissal as the then Health Minister with letters copied to him with the doctors case widely captured in both public and social media.At least three News papers published his story that was also discussed on TVs and radios.The Ghana Health Service refused to enter defense in the Fast Track High Court with the case as usual visibly gagged up in their favor as a government organization since 2012 because of manipulation by powers that be.This is the action of a man pretending to be an anti-corruption crusader.Even at the level of the upper west region where he wants to be the de facto president capped as demagogue the youth have now realized they are dealing with a brutal eccentric dictator,a filthy corrupt politician who is a pathological liar and a confident trickster.A majority Leader who is privately illegally mining gold in his Nandowli constituency,degrading the land without any compensation is certainly the biggest hypocrite in corruption discourse.A majority Leader with avalanche of complex mansions from Accra through to Tema to Wa,series of posh expensive vehicles and multi-million cedis business investments cannot profess to be incorruptible and criticize same.Even with this there is strangle hold on power with iron fist with willful oppressive brutalities against discerning youth genuinely interested in the development of upper west. Northerners despite the fact that we are despised and discriminated in this country will never learn.We will never learn because we are our own enemies as the mindset is that of destruction and sabotage of our collective progress.Osafo Maafo's comment though unfortunate by a highly respected politician is an indirect statement of intent of how other ethnic groups are determined to progress.It is the same with the Ewes who through strong solidarity of effort are way above northerners now in development.Hardly will you find young Ewe girls in Kayayoo business or Ewe men in chop bar business of fufu pounding,as farm guards or care takers in remote southern Ghana or as watchmen.The northerner is inherently wicked with educated people like Alban Bagbin representing us in parliament leading the pack in typical selfishness to the majority poor back home who cannot even afford a meal a day.They only appear during campaign time to take advantage of these poor ignorant destitutes by literally buying their way back to parliament with the cycle of marginalization repeating itself.
