If I may ask, is the NDC new party school another communist ideological institution? The Young Pioneers implanted by Nkrumah in our midst did more harm than good to the development of this country when they usurped power from 1972 to 2001.

Our experience with the quack neo-communists is that, they seize power unjustifiably through coups and counter coups, and Ghanaians only suffer dictatorship, tyranny, corruption and economic mismanagement under them. Being in power now for six years, the NDC has failed again to improve the economy simply because their fundamentals are wrong. In fact, they don't have what it takes to salvage the sinking economy.

Under normal circumstances, political parties are formed to produce leaders democratically. But in the case of NDC, a tyrant created the party with state power and resources to legitimize his illegitimate regime and cling to power fraudulently. NDC is therefore, an artificial and illegitimate party followed by stomach politicians and sycophants.

No decent minded person tells another "he's speaking from his a**s". We never experienced such levels of indecency before the advent of Mr Rawlings. Since the coming of Rawlings, there has been a rapid degeneration in the manner of speech and insensitivity to the emotions of others.
Talking about coups in Ghana, it's lamentably true that some did enjoy spontaneous popular support from the onset due to the socio- political conditions prevalent at the time but that cannot over-ride their illegitimacy.
Everyone knows that the NDC is the illegitimate product of the illegitimate PNDC . Every year the NDC defies the Supreme Court of Ghana to celebrate their 31st December coup.Surprisingly, they're also the loudest in the condemnation of the coup that overthrew Kwame Nkrumah. That's called double standard. The real difference between the two coups which the NDC is unwilling to acknowledge is, while the February 1966 coup deposed a dictator, Kwame Nkrumah, the 31st December coup of 1981 overthrew the constitutionally elected administration of Dr Hilla Liman. To the unapologetic NDC supporters, wrong is wrong no matter how attractive it may appear to be but if ever there's the temptation to justify any coup then Nkrumah's coup is the one because it deposed a dictator. It makes no difference whether Nkrumah was a benevolent or brutal dictator. Every coup is unconstitutional, period!

When Ndc made Bagbin as the majority leader it was not based on tribal appointment, huh?

A husband of a friend went to a local bank to make a withdrawal. Its one of those banks where you take a form, fill it in and stand in line.
While waiting in line, he casually flipped the withdrawal form over and noticed that someone had written on the back of it "I HAVE A GUN: GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY". Not wanting to lose his place in the queue, he waited till he got to the teller and said "Look, some idiot has written on the back of this form".
The teller, not listening, saw the writing and hit the panic button. Alarms rang, cops appeared, the guy was cuffed and taken to a back room and interviewed for a few hours.
At 10'o'clock at night, his wife finally found out where he was (he went to the bank at mid-day) and he was released only after several well-respected friends testified as to his character.
But before he left the cops checked the pile of withdrawal slips in the bank and found that about half of them had similar messages on the back.
Evidently some prankster had done so for a joke.
So, the next time you go to the bank, check the back of the forms first... (or else write on them, put them back in teh pile and wait for the fun to start...)

This one stupid MP who is excited to talk without reasoning.Nitiwul despite being an NPP MP should bare in mind that the exposure and status he is enjoying today should be credited to Jerry Rawlings.Before the advent of the AFRC/PNDC coups northerners and ewes were discriminated,marginalized and condemned as second class citizens.The AFRC/PNDC revolutions thanks to Jerry Rawlings brought about radical transformation and a balance in socioeconomic status by bridging the gap between the poor less educated northerners and voltarians and the rich much educated Akans.How many Komkomas were in the university prior to Rawlings ascension?In deed Saboba got electricity,water,schools,motorable roads and health facilities after Jerry Rawlings came to power.Irrational effusions by a northern NPP MP like Nitiwul is not unusual.When the NPP is in opposition you see northerners as the forerunners but when in power they are suddenly relegated to the background.In an earlier article i stated categorically that the NPP should not struggle for votes in northern Ghana because historically the UP party of which NPP is a progeny had a good number of northerners as key leaders.What happened to the likes of Jato Kaleo,Chief Dombo,Chief Abiefa Karbo and Chief Mumuni Dimbie?They were naturally marginalized and suddenly disappeared into oblivion.I also bemoaned deliberate mischievous attempts by learned Akan historians like Prof Adu Boahene to distort history by down playing the contribution of northerners by persistently writing about Busia/Danquah tradition ignoring the contributions of the likes of Chief Dombo in the UP tradition.Lame attempts of late to recognize the contribution of Chief Dambo by coining Danquah/Busia/Dombo tradition largely for political expediency has been a disastrous fruitless venture as opposed by some Akan Tribal Bigots.I remain adamant in my disposition that until the behavior of Akans change in NPP and in life in general the NDC will always triumph over the NPP.Some Akans with grandiose delusions of feeling of superiority over other tribes will ensure the NPP suffer tribal repercussions and revolt by being rejected.Until tolerance and respect for other tribes is embraced it is always going to be difficult for the NPP.Invariably a stupid northern fool was once again identified and used to discuss a sensitive issue in parliament.At a time that a leading member of his party Osafo Maafo is denigrating him as a second class citizen,Nitiwul should be soberly reflecting the positive contributions Chairman Rawlings made to his life.He is in parliament today because Jerry Rawlings opened the gates for him.

For those who don't seem to understand what's going on, JJ Rawlings and his AFRC/P-NDC henchmen came into with a secrete agenda. They targeted Akan people whom they perceived as dominating everything in Ghana.

Akans, to them were controlling Ghana's economy; they said they were corrupt and as a result lined them up---including a few minority tribes people---and executed them by firing squad. Rawlings and his officers sought to neutralize Akan people by confiscating their businesses and properties, while those who held high gov't or public positions were removed and replaced by other tribes.

Now they don't want people to hear about it; they've rather turned around by spreading false info and lies, accusing the NPP of being a tribal party. What an irony! The very people who're practicing tribalism have turned around to accuse others about it. Wonders, our elders say, will never end! NPP leadership should wake up and confront this national issue boldly before the NDC pollute people's minds esp. those who seem to be naive about the whole issue.

We see this they in day out in our public institutions,schools and general life.Akans generally look down on and discriminate against other ethnic groups alike Ewes and Northerners who they feel are inferior to them.This grandiose delusion of a precolonial mentality as a matter of fact cannot be supported by sociology in modern Ghana.Quiet recently two doctors(an Ewe and Northerner) were thrown out by an Akyem Director General Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira from the Ghana Health Service in less than a month in post in solidarity with fellow Akans in Effia Nkwanta hospital.J.A Kuffour served as PNDC Under Secretary for Local Government as well as many other NPP functionaries.NDC have far more Akans than a combined number of Ewes and Northerners in NPP.Attrition rate of tribes other than Akans is relatively far higher in NPP with the inverse being true in NDC.Some of us look forward to the day where voting will be issue based rather than tribal based.But the stark reality is that this can only happen if Akans learn to tolerate and respect other tribes.The dynamics in modern Ghana is completely different from colonial Ghana where northerners and ewes played second fiddle.The northerners and ewes are fast catching up thanks to the principle catalyst of the new development, Jerry Rawlings.Some of the scathing attacks lunched at Chairman Rawlings is because of the social balance he created by nipping the extortion and cheating that was on-going at the time.Your article is a subconscious reaction of the pain of being prevented to enslave other tribes.

If Mr Nitiwul mis-spoke or was guilty of mis-informing his colleagues then why was the Indemnity Clause smuggled into the 1992 4th Republican Constitution at the midnight hour and on the blind side of Ghanaians?
For those who are too young to know Rawlings staged a successful coup on December 31, 1981 and abrogated the constitution because he was aware that every interruption in governance is illegal. A government is only changed if it's not done via the voting system. The drafting of the constitution was flawed from the word go because some of the members of the Constituent Assembly were Rawlings acolytes and admirers handpicked by Rawlings himself. He needed a restoration, an indemnity clause in the new constitution to pardon and exonerate himself from his sins against the people of Ghana. If Nitiwul lied or mis-spoke then what's the Indemnity Clause doing in the constitution? Why don't they remove it from the Constitution? The coup that overthrew Nkrumah was wrong but Rawlings coup that overthrew President Liman in 1981 was right. This is a clear case of double standards. It's inconsistent with reasoning. Mr Dominic Nitiwul spoke the truth and should have stood his ground.
