The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

It is only fools like you who do not think of HOW you pay for things but admire fruitless material material things. Think well and realize how small and childish your thinking has been. Even the Americans are not having it easy. "No Where Cool"! used to be the writing on a "Trotro" that plied the Education Ridge in Tamale when I was a student in Tamasco in the early 70s and I still take consolation in that adage because, there is nothing like the land of milk and honey anywhere in the world.

If anyone thinks Nana/Bawumia's government would make milk and honey flow in our taps, then they are living in a fool's paradise.

One president and his vice can not do "foko" when almost every politician and public office holder is so corrupt in Ghana. Mark my words! We shall be saying the same things about Nana/Bawumia in 2017-2020 should they win the 2016 elections.

Nana Ama Ampomah's charge that President Mahama sleeps comfortably too much and that that explains "the excessive hardship" Ghanaians are experiencing is a clear sign of the NPP's desperation. They're so much power-hungry that they're just throwing any and every dirty punch, hoping it'd land at a soft spot and "kill" their opponent. They're behaving precisely like a drowning man who struggles to catch and hang on any straw at all.

How ironic that the NPP can complain of NDC's corruption! Absolutely no political party in Ghana can match the NPP when it comes to the question of corruption. The records are all there for Ghanaians to see, beginning especially from the Kufuor era, and how he himself was in the forefront directing his party's corrupt activities. Indeed, is it not true that the moment the NPP is mentioned the first thing that one recalls is drug dealing, as the party has become associated with cocaine, so that it's known as a cocaine party.

Who can forget also how it was revealed that Mr. Kufuor single-handedly met with Vodafone executives in London at the beginning of his tenure and cheaply sold GhanaTelecom to them and allegedly received in turn a $30 million bribe; how he renovated his private house at the Ghanaian taxpayer's expense; how he immediately became filthy rich upon becoming president and was able to raise millions of dollars to purchase a luxury hotel, Hotel Kufuor, as it became popularly known; how he dealt with the Benjamin cocaine that mysteriously disappeared from the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra, some of which were traced to his Asante Paramount Chief's Manhyia palace---indeed, he promoted Justice Georgina Theodora Wood over and above all her seniors to the position of Chief Justice because she had ruled that the commission's investigation was inconclusive and therefore the matter died there, to the chagrin of numerous Ghanaians; how he and his party's bigwigs recklessly cheaply sold to themselves government property, including plots of land and bungalows; how at the end of his tenure Mr. Kufuor misused government funds to purchase expensive gold necklaces and such other items to congratulate themselves on a job well done. Which Ghanaians except those diehard NPP members would forget these and the other numerous corrupt activities that were the trade mark of the NPP?

Of course, the NDC is also often accused of corruption, and one can't doubt that, but the NPP people shouldn't talk and write as though they're clean whilst the NDC, especially President Mahama, are the real culprits when it comes to the question of corruption. There's corruption everywhere in Ghana and it's to be found among the members of all the political parties.

By the way, Daily Guide, how and where did Nana Ama Ampomah, the Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the NPP observe that President Mahama was always asleep? What a cheap shot! Only people of her ilk would buy this kind of infantile joke.
