This is why the state must have its own schools. The state has relied on the missionary schools and we should forget that these schools have their beliefs and values. As much as I don't agree that muslims should be forced to go to church services or morning devotions, they must also know that these schools are missionary schools and not state schools.

I have a simple solution; heads should not ask the current students to attend such functions but for prospective students, they should be asked to sign a document which stipulates what is required of them.

If they agree to sign, then they cannot turn around and demand something based on their believes.

I currently live in the UAE and a christain. My religion teaches me to evangelise and introduce unbelievers to Christ but it is against the religious beliefs of the land . Christains here have not demonstrated demanding their freedom to evangelise.

On the other hand they don't force us to go to the mosque.

In Ghana muslims have attended morning devotions and church services in past without any problems, so why now?
