The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

Someone is in court instead resorting to the use of some other means. As civilised people we all have to wait for that explanation. That is how to live in the 21st century. If Nana Addo comes to power one day he can decide who serves under him. Respect and be tolerant of other people's views, that is how to nurture and protect peace. After all GH has a system that replaces governments through the use of the ballot box

Ghanaians are foolish because they can't tell if they are suffering or not, somebody from outside will have to speak for them.
So Ghanaians, you don't have any problem. Your pipes are flowing with water constantly, power supply is constant, you live in a corrupt free country, your currency, the cedi is doing wonderful, fuel price is very affordable, your hospitals are fantastic; even Atta Mills patronized them till he died, your cities are squeaky clean; garbage on the streets is a thing of the past, misappropriation of state funds is just fine, don't complain. I mean, you are just doing fine, if you complain again, we will scorn you, especially, if you are someone with a disability. Just shut-up and listen to outsiders, because they pay for the food you eat, the petrol you buy and bear your pain when you are sick and you are asked to go home because hospitals don't have beds to admit you. Lamptey in his writ said it is “unreasonable, illegitimate and/or unlawful for students attending missions schools falling under the aegis of the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education to be compelled under the guise of promoting school discipline to participate in religious activities endorsed and promoted by these mission schools when such students do not share the faiths proclaimed or promoted by these mission schools.”

Nii Lamptey, you are not serious, are you? You think you're in the know? Think again! You're wrong, and what's more you know it! The fact that the Mission Schools and institutions fall under the auspices of Education Ministry does not bring leverage to bear on them. This abstruse bogus argument is devoid of logic. That's a lot of nonsense and you know it!

These are Mission Schools and institutions which have a set Ethos accepted by Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education. That set of Ethos goes for every Student. No exemption!

When a certain religion knows quite well that they would not abide by the other religious groups rules and regulations then you don't attend that groups institutions or benefits from their teachings.
School activities are structured to imbue learning and discipline in wards. Attendance of devotions has an element of training that the ward needs in his/her development. Certain announcements are made at the assembly and if you are not there how would you benefit from what was announced?
Being at devotion for just #0 minutes does no harm to any religious practices. You rather learn to understand what the other sect of faith also holds for humanity . Let there be the promotion of religious tolerance to promote the needded peace for national development. Lack of this promotion is the gradual breeding of religious war in the community.

I respect Lawyer Okufzato but disagree with him that this case is not a big case.it has national security implications and worship or the freedom not to worship is a fundamental human right.My fear however is a court may not be the right place to resolve this issue because students who do not belong to a particular religion will be rejected if the ruling does not go in favour of the christian schools.
My personal take on this is,assembly is not a religious activity.the fact that we pray beforr eating does not make eating a religious act.prayer before morning assembly does not make it a christia activity.do tthe muslims want to stay away from the dinning hall too since wepray before eating

The fact that the petitioner may be "christian" doesn't mean he has no right to bring the action. He may not want Moslems who are not full participants in the religious services, who are forced into the church, and are thus reluctantly participating,reduce the wholesomeness and spirituality of the religious experience he would otherwise enjoy if the services were attended by christian supplicants who are fully engaged and immersed in the service. Also, it is a question to be adjudicated because the government's control of the schools brings them into the orbit of the law, in fact, all schools are within the orbit of the law and any violations they inflict becomes an issue for the courts to decide. Thirdly, if the school is forcing them to attend, it is interfering with their free exercise of their religious faith, and thus discriminating against them in violation of Article 33. Finally, any school that receives government aid, in any form -- teachers salaries, books, scholarships, funds, etc. -- should not discriminate in the way those funds are spent. To the extent that some of the funds are used solely for christian religious activities, it is discriminating against non-christians, and that, my dear "legal luminary" makes a question for the Supreme Court.

It was Osagyefo Dr Prof Kwame Nkrumah's Mass Education drive after independence which built especially majority of the second circle Schools across the Country and Acquired both the first and the few second circle Mission Schools as Public Institutions.
So,my question is Since when did these Schools became Missions again
?.
Back to the main topic.I attended Aglican elementary School.I remember very well that one Form mate and some "Lagosians" as the those from Nigeria in Ghana were then called who were Muslims,were exempted or excused to attend Christian devotion or Church Service.
The argument at the moment raised questions about Administration lapse if the Schools are Mission owned.For instance: Is a Student or Parent required to Fill a Form of Admission? If yes,was there any questions about faith ?. If not a Christian why was he admitted.On the other hand,if the School is Public,an Administrator of the Sch or a Teacher has not the right to impose Religious beliefs of a particular faith on any Student.
And no one has the right to denied the Child the opportunity to have education,especially if the Sch is Public. And since when did the Schools became Missions.Things fall apart in the motherland !
