It is a hype.I went to Ghana for good, and had to return to the diaspora,likewise many of my friends and family.Its hell on earth apart from the peace which is not genuine

Ghana does not look after it's environment properly. Forests are cut down and exported to China for cheap, our sea is being polluted by poor offshore oil management, wildlife is not adequately protected, and rivers poisoned by galamsey. Toxic fumes and e-waste make Accra a bit of a cesspit frankly. All of this is due to government and institutional corruption, and the laziness and pomposity of officials to actually get things done.
If Ghana keeps going in the direction it is in for how it treats the environment, mark my words - it will be too poisonous and disgusting for anyone to live there, or even for tourists to pay to visit. I can predict this to be the case in ten years time.
