Its so sad that Ghana is engulfed with corruption. This recruitment scam is not limited to Police service and Ghana Armed Forces alone the Customes and Preventive Service is the worse.

"The drug barons are currently targeting Ghana making us a vulnerable nation hence we must toughen our national security at all our Airports. If Ms Ametefeh has been allegedly doing such manoeuvres since 2009 goodness knows how many of such people have used this method just because of their status in society as security around such people have been relaxed. No one can be trusted when it comes to such issues any more as our security is at stake. We should not even allow the VVIP section security to be relaxed so that unscrupulous people take advantage of such freedom afforded to them in the wake of this saga".

Poll thousand Ghanaians without asking them their party affiliation and listen to their plight. Couple of days ago, Adom FM went to the Volta region, the strong hold of the ruling and non of them said anything positive about this administration and you are here saying that Mahama will win hands down. Let him stay on the presidency for life and who cares?

Father the small number that will be left, wash their faces with sea sand so that they would be able to see the predicament they have put Ghana in through their foolish action, and change for the better. I pray that you let them vote this USELESS and CLUELESS GOVERNMENT out. Let those who these FOOLISH VOTERS envy because they are prospering as a result of which they vote foolishly so that they will be equal with them prosper even more. Father let those who are sympathetic to these USELESS VOTERS stop giving them money when they come begging, so that they will realize 'Ghana is hard', and vote wisely this time round. Lord, there are too many office to office beggars in Ghana, that is a sign of poverty, kick those who encourage this out of office. Merciful Father, too many FOOLISH VOTERS who have no sense of dignity are rewarded with trips to soccer matches only to go and sleep on the floor in foreign land, and eventually seek asylum, stamp that disgraceful spirit out of Ghana. It is always possible to get somebody fake to pay money to if you are not ready to use the right channel to obtain a favour.
The good thing in the story being commented on is that, the people who paid 2,000 Ghana cedis to be recruited in the military failed to secure admission. If the persons who pay bribe for an undue favour fail to get the favour in the long run, it shows that, you don't earn such a favour by paying bribe and this is good.
Those who paid bribe and got nothing for it have responsibility to themselves to identify the persons they paid the bribe to for them to be punished and have their moneys refunded.
As long as there are people willing to be scammed, there will always be scams. However, what set the police recruitment scam apart from all others is that, the victims received official letters telling them they have been selected for training as police and they all reported for training.
