The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

We don't understand Democracy, so we abuse and misuse it. Lack of knowledge my people perish. A scammer and the scammed are or criminals.

Stop throwing dust into the eyes of the public. Bribe before recruitment into the police service started during the time of former Director General HRM, COP Alhaji Amidu and continued in the time of his successor, COP Patrick Atimbilla. Patrick Timbilla actually Knows about the scam. The money was collected on his behalf by the sheabutter seller, Madam Aisha. That woman has been doing this since 2012. The monies realized are shared among the IGP, COP Timbilla, COP Rose Bio Atinga and COP Dampare. In 2012, the NDC recruited 5000 people. of the 5000, 500 of them went through proper police recruitment procedures. 2000 were NDC foot soldiers from the Volta Region and the three Northern Regions. The remaining 2500 were people who paid money through agents to the police administration top brass and they were mainly people from the Volta Region and the three Northern regions. Media men should go to all the police training schools now and find out. About 80% percent of the recruits there did not go through any recruitment process. They paid bribe to the police officers I have mentioned above. They are mostly ewes and some few Northerners.

Mahama and his gang in govt are freely corrupt and are destroying the country because people like you who should know better have allowed it to be so. They are not getting the needed resistance to the historic level of corruption and mismanagement that this country has reached.

Worse of all is the fact that you think somebody else should come from I dont know where, to fix the mess for you. It wont happen.

The best thing that you can do is to stay put in your own country and join forces with the overwhelming number of people and organizations who are willing and ready to solve the problem in any way possible. Even your little contribution on Ghanaweb today is a great effort in the right direction. You will be surprised how many people will read it and get gingered up to also start doing something the unacceptable situation.

I do not know if you are actually an African but if think going to live in London will solve your problems, you lie bad.

Personally I would rather suffer all the nonsense here and offer my bit, no matter how little, to correct the system than to suffer the daily torment of overt and covert racist abuse in a horrible place like London where your self-esteem and respect as a Blackman is zero.

The option of correcting or addressing our own problems and making this country what most of us want it to be, is the way to go. Jumping ship and running away in the face of problems like a pitiable coward, is the option for failed Africans.

The political bigotry that is destroying our nation has certainly contaminated our security agencies. Now they can afford to shortage our national security, law and order for peanuts. It is so horrible, and scornfully disgusting that people who feel "more protected being in uniforms of our nation" will give the citizens away in this manner. The self-interested, self-focused greedy elements in security and law enforcement agencies have indicated by such conducts that they are capable of betraying the nation by revealing classified information to enemies if approached and coaxed with monetary incentives. Horrible. Horribly shameful.
