Brother, this is due to the global oil economy. This has nothing to do with politics but purely economics. A lot of companies in the West are laying off people as well. Tullow is not a welfare company that is subsidized by its shareholders. In fact the shareholders of this company need some returns on their investments, and one way of doing that is to reduce cost in such times but reducing their labour. I live in Canada where oil companies are doing the same.
