Your people too are having Dumsor, Inflation, Poor roads, unemployment etc. Only a few of your people are enjoying. The rest are living in abject poverty. Have you checked how most of them live in Accra and Kumasi?

  I don't belong to any political party but it pains me to hear a Ghanaian, particularly a politician who also claims to be a 'Professor' calling the president of our nation 'kaskara'. Mr Professor, don't you dream of becoming president or Minister of State one day? Will you like Nana Akuffo Addo or yourself to be called derogatory names if you come to power? You are calling the president of Ghana, your president, 'kaskara'. If Nana Akuffo Addo becomes president of Ghana, can you envisage the different types of names NDC members will be calling him? I bet you it will be worse than 'kaskara', outrageously and uncomfortably easy but terribly unimaginable.
  Professor Gyan Baffour, please remember whatever you and NPP sow is what you will also reap if you come to power. So it is wise to know what you are sowing.
  I have great respect for professors. I thought by virtue of your intellectual training, you are a man whose life has been seasoned with wisdom and experience and therefore would be able to proffer solutions to some of the multi-faceted challenges facing Ghana. In 1969 when launching his party at Yensua Park, Sekondi, Dr K A Busia used the occasion to answer his critics when he was accused of his party being made up of intellectuals. Hear what he said, 'People say my party is made up of intellectuals, my party is made up of intellectuals, but who is an intellectual?'The whole crowd was quiet, everyone waiting to hear what his answer would be. Then he he continued, 'an intellectual is someone who is able to identify a problem and solve it. If you are able to identify a problem and solve it, then you an intellectual'. The crowd went wild with a long applause. That is the tradition you belong to Mr Professor just in case you don't know. I was therefore expecting a higher order of scholarship and excellence from you as an intellectual giant. If the masses are calling our president names because of their frustrations, I can understand them but not you. I was expecting you as 'professor' to 'proffer' or put forward solutions instead of calling our president derogatory names. Professor Gyan Baffour, others may applaud you for what you have said, but from my point of view you have fallen below expectation, and I am disappointed.
  It doesn't matter how badly John Mahama performs I will always respect him as the president of Ghana, my beloved nation, and that applies to past and future presidents of Ghana. I will respect them and the office they hold till I die, irrespective of the political party they belong to.
